"bulletproofing" ?

 

I disagree with the statement that they start breaking at that timeframe. Diesels dont even break in fully until 100k miles.... if they are breaking at that kind of mileage, it is likely from lack of proper care and maintenance.

diesels require a LOT more maintenance than gas vehicles.... fuel filters religiously, coolant flushes, etc... especially if you tune them...but if you treat them right, they will last forever.

I bought mine used so I'm not sure about the history on it. I changed the oil with rotella t6 every 3k with rev-x. A week after owning it was when the issues started.

 

and you have to do glow plugs.. i dont want to do that, unless i live in a giant peach

 

a week? yea definitely previous ownership.... what did you have? Powerstroke, Duramax, or Cummins?

but at least you'll never have to do spark plugs

 

still not convincing me.. i dont really need more than the Taco now..

I've had 3 6.0s and it's probably one of my favorite trucks.... they get such a bad rap from everyone.... but I love them.

 

I used to race subies. Super fun.

 

I remember getting caught "parking" by the cops several times in my high school days lol

 

really? that's awesome! Rally? or AutoX? or what? yea I've never had anything past a stage 2.... but damn they are so fun to drive

 

Or fully deleted, whatever you want to call it.

 

Mostly AutoX but I rallied a few times. Usually unofficial stuff. I have my 2006 up to 418 at the wheels with full Stage 3. Tein S-techs with EDFC controller. That thing rode nice.
