    Sorry but I have to vent, This guy with the run-a-way Prius, WTF, I for one am NOT buying it!!!!! shift into NEUTRAL, He has the presence of mind to dial 911 but can't figure out to shift into neutral??????????, something wrong with that picture. Doc

    For the record....

    I've had the privilege of driving a Prius. Had it on loan from the stealership. Not a bad car for pep and get up and go, amazed the shit out of me. With that... The controls are all electronic, shifting is not a solid connection to the transmission and the "ignition" is a start/stop switch.

    someone's comment on that page:

    Many years ago Audi in US had sudden acceleration problems, but Audi in Europe had never had such incidents. Now Prius in US have sudden acceleration problems, and in Europe we had not witness any of such incidents. So the question is: are cars made for US market significantly different from the one made for European market? if not then the problem is to be found somewhere else
