Haven't had a chance to jack up the front end yet but I did get under it and the front drive shaft spins freely with the truck running and selector switch in 4hi. The light is still blinking though. Should I plan on removing the front actuator for inspection?

I'll second this... Only regret is not going hd bars on mine (hd are standard now) for black instead of silver and a bit stiffer.

so i've heard they take really long, which is fine as long as it's advertised as such. but apparently it's much much longer. NBD if i know it's gonna take a while, cool. what i've also heard a lot of is the dude running it goes MIA and isn't the best at dealing with issues. By the time you fully deck out the prinsu, it's only a tad cheaper than a Frontrunner which is just the best. only reason i wouldnt get a frontrunner is price. sounds like i just need to wait and buy a frontrunner

yessir! just need the other ones too, thanks again

That's the 2 cents i like to hear. the more customer experiences i hear, the better

    Drone people...

Got some awesome footage over this last trip via drone.

Any suggestions or input for something in the under $1k range? I like the follow me mode. I'd rather have capability over a 43,000mp camera. As long as it takes decent pics/vid. And compatible with Android if that's something that exists.

i like hearing good reviews, but at a certain point the "it's one dude building a lot of stuff, etc, etc.." doesn't mean anything to me. a lot of these vendors are full-time businesses and if you can't handle orders and such, then i'll likely buy from a vendor/manufacturer that can. I'd figure it's this dudes full time job to run this business, so why would i do business with someone slower, less responsive, and no CS?

I've seen those guys saying he's disappeared. But like I said he's always got back to me. I'm sure some of the other guys just come off strong. Hell we were just emailing each other last week over one of his new products he's got coming out. While I was reading that he wasn't answering some people. So I'm sure he's slacking some but if he's answering me when I'm not even waiting on something, I'm sure there's more at stake. I think I waited 2 months for mine when I ordered it. I got it on the spring group buy. Which like this, seems to have taken off. And I haven't really seen anyone truly bitching about the racks once they get them, not including the guys that cry about every little thing, like the box had a scratch on it.

well i know the product is going to be great, that's not the issue. the problem i have is saving a couple hundo for exchanging a long ass lead time, no CS, and unresponsiveness.

i may get shit for this, but it's the same reason i haven't had anything done by insain. i can't get a hold of the guy, no returned calls or emails, lost interest in attempting business with someone like that.
i know the product is going to be great, i'd just rather support another business.

I've had mine for 2 years, so I haven't seen any of the recent complaints and had no issue for my order. I think it was quicker than expected.

With the numbers of racks he's selling especially during group buys, one would think he would have help to get through the tons of orders.. :notsure:

I get that. And respect that. Maybe times are different. Wouldn't fault you in any way. If I had shit customer service I'd walk from a business. Unless it's jake. Then I just yell at him and we are square. Ive known for awhile Scott needs someone to field his emails and such. Since that's usually the only beef with him.

What is this thing you call sleep? Wife went into labor at 10:30 at night on Sunday. It was a long freaking delivery, I got some sleep last night but the wife didn't. I don't know how women do it! Luckily there were no complications and both my wife and baby are in great health.

    amen

and there's always that awkward area in growth for a business where you may need to take an initial hit to hire an admin person, but in the end your customers will be happier and you can more easily handle the growth on the front end. can't fault the guy or anything, but if they're serious about it and it's not just a hobby anymore, you have to address this

Have you been able to get the front actuator to engage at all since this? I'm wondering if a good engage-then-disengage will work out the issue.

I don't think so. I drove around in stop and go traffic with the switch in 4hi and it never clicked in. The light just blinks the whole time. The weird thing is that I didn't switch it into 4hi before this happened. The light was just blinking when I took off for work this morning.

Finally had the 2nd tree of mine carved up (the infinity piece... struck by lightning sometime in the 90s, I cut it down in 2005). Then refinished the tree I had carved in 2014. The latter is a biotch to sand, seal, sand, seal, etc.

Love these pieces though. (sorry about the neck crane on the third pic)
