That's what I used in place of 1 of the 2 screws per side per bar. Specifically the

How did you run the wires to the other lights on the sides of the rack?

With the people using a tepui or CVT tent ontop of the Cabrac, how easy is it to remove the tent off the top of the vehicle cab after a weekend of camping? I don't want to be driving around town/highways with a tent on top of my vehicle... also wouldnt trust people seeing it and trying to remove it while im in a store or restaurant. Can the tents from cvt and tepui be removed my myself within 5 minutes? Just thinking if I go camping every weekend for a day or two and come back home late at night I'm guessing I would not want to spend much time removing the tent if it takes a good 15 minutes to take off.

Ok that's how my light bar is run, but I don't think I can run another wire. Might have to use the other pillar.

My wires are inside 3/8" flexible conduit.

If you're just doing a couple, 1/4" would probably be fine you you.

It would need to be a team of thieves, with some time, tools, and strength to get my cvt mt Shasta summit. You can get the security nuts and what not for various components if you want the piece of mind. Making sure your aftermarket stuff is covered on insurance is a good idea too.

So i just ordered a cabrac powdercoated black, with cutout for lightbar, anyone know what my chances are of receiving it in the 6-8 week leadtime? Have an upcoming elk hunt I could really use it on and the time period is going to be close.

honestly, it isn't easy to remove due to the tight space to work with (nuts are under the rack cross-members). The Prinsu looks good, but isn't the easiest roof rack to work with.

    Here's what I do:

Remove 2 crossbars and measure the distance they need to be on the rack and transfer that number to the bottom of the tent and bolt the 2 crossbars to the bottom of the tent off the truck. I keep those 2 bars permanently mounted on the underside of the tent and when I need to use the tent, I just need to tighten the 8 bolts into the side of the rack instead of under it. Takes less than 3 minutes with 2 people.

I ordered 2 extra bars to keep the look of the 6 bars when the tent is off the truck.

Thanks for the advice all. After taking the bolt out and peeling away the silicon I actually found that the punch in the sheet metal above the threads was interfering with a straight alignment of the bolt. After cleaning that up with a file I cleaned the treads with a tap just to be safe and it went in no problem!

As far as the weather stripping I've decided to just run as is and replace when i find a cheaper set.

Really appreciate the feedback! I think it turned out great.

I typically keep it in stock. But depending on orders it takes me a bit to get it out. I have someone who is helping me with small "accessory" orders now though so it should be faster than it has been.

Odd question, i know... but after a lot of work I significantly reduced the wind noise on my rack. Interested in picking up an awning, but wondering if any particular brand tends to have less wind drag / noise than others? how much increase in noise have you experienced if you leave your awning mounted all the time?
