What a way to start the day....

And of course, the oldest fucker here has to do it....while all the youngin's that are too scared to do it stand and watch me.

3 story building.....9/12 pitch roof. I have to climb up there, slide out on the ridge, over 50 feet from where I started, and change US and state flags. Hardest part is sliding BACKWARDS along the ridge to where I can climb down. Sorta like sliding on the edge of an axe.....Legs are shot.....Now to start the regular fun for the day.

There is some sort of advantage to being the only person here with enough nerve to do something like this. The young punks get pretty humble after seeing me do what they're too chicken to even try.

I did send an e-mail to boss and board of directors. This is officially the LAST time I'll climb up there. Legs just can't deal with it anymore.

Had to scaffold it to shingle....2/3rds the building has this roof. Rest is flat. Some of the 9/12 part has long leaf yellow pine rafters that are 26' long. (2X10's) It's a pretty amazing old building. (Emphasis on old...)
