So I have received three grant wheel adapters now that we're never meant to be shipped, they were not completely milled. I've called summit twice and they confirmed, they even called grant to confirm. So the unicorn is stuck on the stable, instead of spreading sparkling joy

Sheesh , that's a bummer. I'm almost surprised they have one for your car, didn't the Miata come to be right around when airbags were required?

 

I can get it down next time I drive up. Backstory on this bumper is that it was replaced by insurance after a deer strike. Supposedly not bent too bad...

 

There is modifing involved, I already soldered a 3ohm 1/4watt resistor in line to fool the computer to think there is still a airbag, then the adapter has to be trimmed to fir where the airbag harness goes throu, the old ones are easy, this one could be made to work, but be way to much work. They are sending out a fourth that a warehouse manager has opened and confirmed (of course heard the same thing before they shipped number three out)

 

So it's thoroughly tested! As long as it fits like it should and doesn't look horrible I'd be fine with that, hopefully he emails me back.

 

I pinged him yesterday, and he said it was pending sale today. Also said he would get back to me if the guy fell through. FYI
