Whoops. Didn't realize I forgot to add Sport in there. Thanks for the clarification.

Has anyone used a factory fog light switch in place of the switch on the harness included with the Baja designs kit? Here is an overall picture of the harness that came with my squadron pros:
    IMG_6768.jpg

This is the switch it comes with:
    IMG_6772.jpg

Is there a way to cut this switch off and connect to a factory fog light switch? Like this:

I'm really bad at wiring and have almost zero electrical lingo knowledge but I'm trying to learn. I think I'm suffering from too much info. I've found several people using other brands lights with OE switches and I still can't understand how they are wiring it up because it's different from the wiring (colors) on the Baja Designs harness. If anyone has done this with this harness, I'd really appreciate some help. Or a link to a thread/YouTube video would be helpful.

To cut the chopping and soldering out of the process call Bailey @Baja Designs and he can send you a barness that plugs right into the factory wiring so you can use the factory switch. He sent one to me for mine and it simply plugged right in without issue.

Will it work that easy on a 3rd gen? We don't have a fog light button like the 2nd gens do. My fog light switch is one of those twisting types on the blinker.

If I was a betting man, I'd say yes. I don't know but I'd imagine that Bailey has delt with that setup by now so I'd wait for him to chime in.

Anyone get out and hit the road this Memorial Day weekend? Spotted quite a few Tacomas while out in Mammoth and the surrounding areas.

Bailey, can you provide a link to these adapters? I may have them. I got a lot of wiring and random plastic adapters with my order so I'd hate to pay for something I already have. No clue what they would be used for though. I didn't get any instructions or a packing list for them. Just the lights and the wiring that plugs the lights into the harness at the fog light locations.

These are available for purchase by calling in. We don't have them available on the site. These are included in our fog kits here. If you ordered this kit and it did NOT include the adapters I'm happy to send you some.

I definitely got those. They came with the mounting kit. The lights work in place of the stock ones now. I'm just trying to wire up my new switch directly to the lights so that it works like an 05-15 tacoma. As the lights are installed/wired now, they turn off when I turn the brights on. I'd like them to be wired independent of the truck. But using this switch.

Here's my new button that I got in the mail over the weekend.

And this harness shown below came with my lights. but it has a different switch on it.

    IMG_6768.jpg

The switch I don't want already on the harness below.

Oh! I see what you're trying to do now.

Do you have a wiring diagram or schematics for the 05-15 style switch? Also, did the switch include a pigtail with wires coming out of it?

I'll do my best to assist you in using that switch with our included pair wiring harness.

Hey Bailey, is the extended wiring kit something that has just recently been offered with the S2s? Or have they always come with them?

The extended wiring is only offered in the following 4 backup kits. Standard Pairs will just include a basic pair wiring harness.
