    Stuff. Also things.
    I hear ya.

It's been nearly impossible to plug myself back in at work this week. And it doesn't help that the days are going sloooooooooooow.

Well finally gonna fly back in this evening. Thinking an early morning hike might be in order this weekend. Anyone know of some decent trails to hike I can bring the pup on? Maybe ones to go catch a sunrise or something? Nothing I can't get to without a stock rig.

Oh, absolutely. Our main management staff meeting we have could very easily be an e-mail. I've proposed that a couple times and been shot right down. well, hey, at least i've got a nice 20minute intermission now until the painful meeting starts :bananadead:

    I'll see what I can do ;)

Any one up for (maybe Friday night) sat-Monday camping trails up around Walden and the sand dunes (north sand hills)?

I've been really busy lately and haven't had time to keep up really. So maybe I missed this earlier and I haven't seen anything skimming the BS thread, but I just caught in one of the standalone threads that Traildamage has upgraded their website... and gone to paid membership content. What of it I can see certainly does look like a facelift. But yeah, I gotta say I'm really disappointed. I used the site a lot, particularly just trying to figure out where trails people were talking about were at, let alone for navigation and the descriptions and such. It's going to leave a pretty big hole in my resources. I haven't hit the site lately (say a month?), but it sure seems like there wasn't much notice about the change coming or what it would entail.

It's perfectly understandable - hosting costs money, and more so the more traffic you get. They had become kind of the de-facto trail site we all sent anyone asking to, yet it was really just a small club's site that happened to put up info on stuff they did - it's not like they set out to be 'the trail map website'. I'm thankful for what they've provided until now, and I'm going to miss my free lunch. I kinda think I'd rather they went paid advertising than private fee membership (or maybe ad-free if you pay and ads if you don't), but... it is what it is. There was a Colorado nature photography site that did the same on me a few years back, made their forums paid membership only. Kinda miss that place. It may not seem like much, a few bucks a year here and there, but when you visit ten, thirty sites on a regular basis...

Wondering if this topic might be worth its own thread. Or am I late to the party and missed the discussion/thread? Probably worth looking at some of our big 'info' threads, like offroad navigation and trail closures and such and updating some of the early/front posts to note that Traildamage isn't free anymore.
