LOL @ the chorizo. The best way to make it is to cook it a bit until it looks kinda like ground beef, then mix it into scrambled eggs, which you then load into a tortilla.

I never know you could get up there. What's the road like up to the tower/butte lookout area? Would it be passable in a stock 4x4 Tacoma and Tundra?

We watched that area burn from the Lookout neighborhood during the Chelan Reach fire in 2015. It would be fun to take the family up there to see a different perspective of the area.

A stock truck would have no problem getting up there. A Subaru would easily make in fact. There are a few rough spots from rain washout, but it's an easy drive.

I called a handful in the kent/renton/auburn area when I was looking for a rear third member. A few told me they didn't have anything newer than 2005, and others wouldn't sell me just the third, they would only sell the complete housing. I think with the high resale of tacomas even with rebuilt titles, its gonna be hard to find what you need. :dunno:

hahahaha, yeah - that was what we tried. I think the real problem was that we were cooking it in a skillet on a grill in semi-windy conditions, so it never really got "hot enough" to congeal into a ground-beef like texture...instead, it stayed sort of mushy. Then, when we mixed it with the eggs (which we also never really got hot enough), well... :annoyed:

The next day, we solved the egg problem by building a wind shield around the grill. Was much better (but we skipped the chorizo to increase the chance of good eggs)!

Well, looks like my guy is falling through to build my sliders. Any good local shop recommendations? XO Fab in Enumclaw looks promising.

I've heard good things about XO fab and Badlands bumpers. No personal experience with either though.

Badlands would be my go-to. Prices are unreal, but that keeps them real busy.

While waiting at the cell phone lot, I saw a rare Land Cruiser: newer model, sliders, gov plates and right hand drive. I would have taken a pic, but didn't want to look like a creeper. It was nice.
