I have cbi ditch light brackets for my 3rd gen. No bending needed. It mounted perfectly on the hoods screws.

I still really need to bend my CBI bracket for the 4Runner. The tip of the antenna leans towards the front of the truck and out towards the passenger side when mounted. I just haven't found a way to bend it yet (I don't have a vice).

Only thing I don't like about the CBI 4Runner bracket is that they don't exactly tell you that "Some trimming is required". For the passenger side one...its "quite a bit of trimming required" to get it to fit. Not sure about the brackets for the Taco.

@Tynan got the Relentless Fabrication ditch bracket for the 3'rd Gen Tacoma. Unlike mine...no trimming was required for his. Slightly jealous.

I'm pretty sure its the same bracket for the 4runner and the Tacoma. I have two friemds with different generation Runners and both had to bend it to get the angle right so it didn't risk touching the windshield when open. I think they just made a general antenna mount and are like "good luck".

I'm going to look at moving my antenna mount to my front bumper probably. Currently I've got the Diamond K400 lift gate mount and it kind of sucks. Anytime I get in trees where the antenna catches it has almost ripped it off on 3 seperate occasions.

I was looking at those too. Its nice when you're on the highway because the antenna is up high, but yeah, its not tree friendly. I've seen people mount 1/2 way up the back gate with a lip mount, but everybody I've seen that has one says that they rust really bad pretty quick.

I'm thinking the same thing. Replacing the front bumper is a little further down the build list, but bumper-mount or rear-swingarm mount would be ideal. Neither of which...I can afford yet, lol.

Have both GoPro batteries and both camera batteries charged.

I don't have an international plan on my phone but the hotel has free WiFi (not free because it was an up charge on the room) so I will be checking in when I can!

Yeah, I'll have to give it a shot. They're made of some pretty thick steel...I just have to make sure I'm not jackin' up my hood alignment doing it on the truck. Low priority, though...just an aesthetics thing right now.

I was the only ER tech for the resuscitation areas today. It was hell on earth. I went up to the OR once to drop off a cath lab patient, but I didn't see your gf. The scrub top is sitting in my locker in the ER. :annoyed:
