All of this might be a moot point when the courts hear the challenges to the pipeline approval re First Nations consultations and Endangered Species protection provisions

Nope it's real. How do I know you may ask, he has his mirrors in the tow position like all Dodge owners do, if it was a photoshop they would be down.

    image.jpg

And incase you didnt know, there were big stickers indicating the unit had a "cummins" motor.

Well the standard tactic is delay, delay, and delay some more. Injunctions are perfect for that, and perfectly legal too so you won't hear me bitch about that.

Too be honest that pipeline isn't going to save Alberta BUT China is probably going to be our biggest export partner within the next twenty years so at some point we have to have the infrastructure in place to service that market. I don't care how we have to do it as long as we do it as safely as possible.

Not sure I agree. I think people spin that just as hard as Liberals spun Harper out to be some sort of anti Christ. Realistically the Liberal party right now are centrists so they aren't going to do very many things that appear to be strong moves. I honestly think that's a good thing. Moderation is something the rest of the world is out of touch with right now.

My only real gripe with them so far is the Refugee issue. Not an issue we should discuss here. Honestly I've been trying to stay out of politics as much as possible lately because it just puts me in a downer, lol. Don't need that in my life and its also why I recently quit face book. Way too much division there recently.

I don't see the Federal Conservatives winning back the gov with the leader they just chose , seems like they just took 4 steps to the right

In your own words, hard to argue.

I would also not be surprised if the right were to fracture again. I doubt the moderates in the Conservative party are any happier now than they were a few years ago.

Yeah I never talk politics on FB and use it only to keep track of family plus a few 4x4 groups. I just hide the political posts usually.

So many issues with oil tankers in and out of the Vancouver port crashing into things and such and releasing their payloads all over on the way to Vancouver Island to ensure they have an endless supply of hydrocarbons....oh wait there never has been an issue. But just in case maybe we should shut it down.

We do everything on probabilities and the probability of anything occurring with that much oversight is minuscule as has been proven for the last 60+ years of shipping from the Westbrige Terminal. That is one of the reasons it was approved and the Northern Gateway wasn't.

Gasoline, diesel and other products to the Cowichan Bay Area just to name one. It's not a regular occurrence or their main source but it's been going on for years for private enterprises. This is without the huge overview of the NEB too.
Not to mention all the tanker trucks that cross on the ferries that aren't double hulled.

Good point, we probably shouldn't transport humans around so much either. Good thing about humans is that they biodegrade much more efficiently, and without destroying ecosystems in the process
