Hoping to be able to snag some good follow me video when I'm driving in the middle of nowhere. Trying to look into laws/rules, and it all appears to be a grey area other than the obvious illegal stuff such as national parks and within 5 miles of an airport.

I saw the link that the guy beat it in court. I'd rather err on the side of caution. I don't plan on doing anything to warrant any attention with it so I'm not worried either way.

I didn't know about the recent thing. I registered mine back when it all first started. Not like it really does anything anyway. Just gave me a number to stick on it lol.

 

Makes me a little bit angry that government agencies can break the law with impunity.

If you or I break the law there can be life changing consequences. If a government agency breaks the law it may or may not get corrected in the courts but then they just take a step back and figure out a different way to do whatever they want.
