Finally got me Scout! Added the front bed rail and a RockyMounts Driveshaft. Flipped the "bulkhead" around when I unbolted it to add the rail, it moves it closer to the cab so it doesn't hang so far over the rail and interfere with the fork mount. It would still work but it's better this way and I don't have a tonneau cover so I have no need for the two threaded holes on the bulkhead. I have about 1/4" between the rear tire and the tailgate, glad I didn't get a 29er.loltacobike2.jpg rocky2.jpg rocky1.jpg

If you attach the fork mounts to the floor of the bed, rather than the back wall, you gain a few inches and 29'ers will fit. At least mine does. Not sure if one of those new 29" DH bikes will fit :)

Wow, thanks for that info! I have the same Rocky Mounts, but put them in upside-down since it was the only way it fit. I didn't know you could flip the bulkhead around. I'll try it!

Anyone have any fork mount options to keep a bike inside the bed with a canopy?

Board across the front or back of the bed floor, with Kuat Dirtbag thru-axle mounts attached. Mounted across the back ( by the tailgate), loading the bikes is fussy to get the handlebars to clear the slope of the back window of the canopy, but the axle mounts are easy to access. Mounted up by the front bed wall, clearance is better but you have to crawl into the bed to attach the axles. But that's how I have it set up. All this with a 5' DCSB and ARE Z Series shell.

I just got a free Yamika 4 bike hitch mount. Unfortunately it is for a bitch ass baby hitch, so I need to find an adapter.

Sweet thread! I am a new (upon pickup) to-be Tacoma owner and avid rider. I currently race the Third Coast Enduro Series here in the Southeast and commonly ride Pisgah and Windrock.

Here's a sweet poser shot riding the Dirty South in Knoxville

Nice shot, and welcome to the forum! I'm looking to signup for for one of the third coast enduro races later this season... maybe Stanley Gap in the fall since I'm coming from Atlanta. I'm recovering from my most serious wreck in over 15 yrs of riding, but will be hitting Pisgah 3rd weekend in June. I've heard Windrock is legit... need to get up there asap!

Your ride full downhill rig at Windrock or enduro/freeride bike?

Not going to lie... I think I liked the commentary more than anything.

So jealous of that course though, nothing like that here around for DH.
