I voted blue myself.. but I'd say don't settle for anything you don't want. I wanted the blue, when I got my '17 Sport. MGM / silver / white / black are super common. Blue happens to be my favorite color, and that's what I wanted. I got lucky, and it only took them 3 days to get me my truck. But don't settle, if you're set on MGM or Silver or whatever. Get what you want!

Lots of grey, white, and silver third gens in my neck of the woods. I like the BBP, but go with your first choice, Grey or Silver. Get what you like. And they are popular colors, so ...

My first choice is Silver but I have to settle for what ever that dealer has coming in and that's Grey, after what you guys have mentioned on how blue doesn't stay clean too long, I don't think I want it. I want to go with this dealer because the only dealer price matching this one is 12 hours away instead of 2 . All the other dealers that should be getting back to me tomorrow are 6 hours+

If I put a deposit you think these guys will hold true to their word and not say "whoops we sold it" come truck picking up time? I prefer not to reveal price until I pic it up but I'm really concerned about these guys changing their mind on the price when they have 2 weeks to think about it.

What are you guys thoughts on this? I personally think the deposit doesn't really mean much other than I get my $500 bucks back 2 weeks from now rain or shine. I'm not backing out but not sure I can hold them on price.

I would say that most people, even in 2017, are likely to keep their word and do honest business. At some point you gotta have a little faith in people or nothing gets done. Just make sure you get the offer in writing, so there is no confusion when it comes to signing the papers. Good luck getting your truck!

That's exactly what I did. In fact, isn't the whole point of the deposit to hold it for you until it arrives? Unless there is something really hard to find like cement or big upcharge, I would put down the deposit and wait on it.

I wanted silver, so I got silver. One was in transit to the dealer and I had to wait a couple of weeks for it to arrive. I put down a deposit and got a receipt with the exact truck specs and inventory number in writing. My only problem was waiting until it showed up. Just get all the truck information in writing and read it carefully before you leave. Be aware that delivery dates might change even if they have an estimated arrival. All of those colors look nice, but if the price is the same go with the one that you really want.

Are you in desperate need of the truck? If its more of you just want it, but don't need it, then I would wait for the one you want. if the order it and deliver something other than what you ordered, then don't pay for it. Waiting for what you want at the price you want, is better than settling just b/c your impulsive.

Don't let the dealership drive the ship. You have all the power. If they flake on their deal or break whatever "trust" you have with them, then walk. There will always be another truck and another dealership. Don't get in a rush just because this dealership might have what you want potentially at a price you are willing to pay. You know what you want and you know what you are willing to pay. Make the dealership provide that for you or walk and find one that will.

    Like, so many.
MGM and black are the best, in my opinion. And, of course, cement.

Put the deposit down and get the final price in writing for the MGM one coming in.

I'm with you... add an "inferno" to the options and I'll vote also..!! MGM is boring as hell.... Go the BBP in that choice.

But Silver is really THE best colour. Had 1 fir 10 yrs... if the Inferno had not come along I'd have another one...

You guys are right, I should have some faith in humanity and put the grey one on deposit. Going to talk to them tomorrow.

I like silver best but this dealership has a grey one coming in within 2 weeks and I will take it since it's my second choice.

As boring and common as Silver may be it really is the best color. My folks live on a farm with a 1/4 mile dirt road. My mother made the mistake of buying a blue accord and sometimes in the summer as soon as we bring it back from getting it detailed, the back is dirty from the dust on the dirt road. Two silver trucks my dad has had, don't look bad at all after going weeks without getting washed.

If you plan of mods that will be black in color I say go blue. You won't notice the contrast as much on the gray.

Meh, this doesn't look bad at all. It's the Gen2 greys that look kinda boring.

    Grey it is!!

I originally wanted the 'cool guy grey' (MGM) that it seems 75% of the 3rd gens in SoCal are but when I saw the BBP in person I was sold on it. Its really not that hard to keep clean, I wash it every couple weeks and even when it is a little dirty it still looks good.

That said, if you 100% want silver, find a silver truck with the configuration you want and buy it, even if you have to travel farther or pay a little more. You will have to live with the truck for years to come and you dont want to regret your purchase. Do your homework and put in the time and effort now to get exactly what you want now even if its more work, you'll thank yourself in the long run and might even enjoy the journey to purchase and drive it home.

Though my own truck is silver and a manual transmission, if giving the same options as my current truck I would go for the blue, it's different and it just screams FUN, I like to be different, but that's just me. Good luck with your decision.
