Had the 10k service this morning and asked about the TSB 0077-16 rev 1. The service writer didn't know anything about it so I went to the waiting room. 15 minutes later he tells me they are going to run a history test on the transmission, 10 minutes after that he tells me there is an update, 20 minutes later he tells me the service is complete and they also found an upgrade for the engine. I got 25.4 mpg on the way home, 3 more than I usually get, probably just a coincidence but I can hope.

As long as the TSB didn't inadvertently make anything worse, I'd say that's a win.

This has been discussed time and time again by many but I've found that it drives and performs better when it is in "learning mode" or right after flashing the ECU (updating it or clearing it works). Then it reverts a few thousand miles later. I'm over 26K miles now. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/learning-logic.493038/#post-15235794

Thanks for raining on my parade Smitty. I guess I can always take it back and have them reflash the ecu every few thousand miles.

Not raining on your parade just telling you what I've come to expect from mine. I have a lot more miles on mine than you do.

I will enjoy it while it lasts, all good things must come to an end.
