Especially at that 3500k rpm when VVT-I hits. Like the millennium falcon going to lightspeed! Well... not really but it finally wants to go.

I've let the Taco rev up and you do get a nice little power boost. BUT, I don't expect to get 22mpg while doing this like the OP is looking for o_O

No one is buying the LFA because you have to get an invite to purchase it. That car does have one of the best sounding engines ever!

When it comes to the frs its really a great platform, light, front engine rwd with a 6 speed, not to mention with the boxer motor the center or gravity is quite low. The chassis balance on the car is great, and with some extra money you can make the car have quite alot of power. With the ptuning turbo kit(shop i work for) and a flex fuel kit you can see 400 whp fairly easily

I drive my 2017 like i stole it, and i get 18mpg with typical big city driving (stop, go, highway). Will likely get a bit better when the weather gets better. Highway driving 22mpg is easily possible.

I had a 2011 a bit back. Not gunna lie, great ride and plenty of zoom, but too big and the features kinda sucked unless you spend another $8k for the "premium" sony sound system which has a hard time keeping up with my 10 year old Logitech $75 unit. No regrets leasing it, but plenty of smiles not buying it.

This morning I drove 4 miles in light traffic, and I got 12.8mpg. I didnt drive like a stole it. Here is the result of me barely depressing the accellerator and shifting gears at 2.5-3k rpm. This is with 2 mile stretch of a free-n-clear expressway that had all green lights. I had the transmission in 6th gear (@55mph) during this 2-mile stretch. Before this 2 mile stretch, I was averaging 9mpg. I have attached a picture of this mornings result.

    What an efficient engine.

I have attached a picture of my drive to the gym. 2 mile stop-n-go driving. This is with me driving normally, shifting @ 2.5-3k and not shifting up early. The result was 9mpg.

Below this I have also attached a result of me driving really restrained on the highway @75mph. The result was 16mpg.

This is no where close to the advertised rating.

I was just reading about that. They're looking for a new CEO to change the "bro" culture.

Buddy of mine works for them.

You aren't kidding about them being big. I had always thought I would replace my Tacoma with a half ton, and I probably still will eventually, but I drove a F-150 about 150 miles recently and it is kind of a pain in the ass to get around in compared to a small pickup.

Of course you are going to get shit mileage if you are only driving 2.2 and 4.1 miles per trip. If that's all your average trip is then get a bike

Still no answer to this. Looks like just another Ford online marketing campaign. You guys need to start paying TW for using their site for advertising.

I have already addressed this. I was driving extremely restrained.

I just posted a picture of a result of my normal highway driving and I got 16mpg driving 23 miles at 75mph.

Nobody drives at 65mph on the California highways. Especially on I5, highway 99, or 580 to 205. These are the highways I normally drive on and already got high beamed and honked at for driving 60-65 while trying to maintain 18 mpg

What about the highway result at 16 mpg? I drove 23 miles on that trip. I wasn't driving like 16 year old either.IMG_20170530_200556.jpg
