Very small number of trucks, but spread across both model years. My 8/16 build date not in the mix.

    Edit date build date

I haven't seen this written in here yet, but based on the press release, the problem is with the thick coating on the rotor and NOT THE CPS UNIT. I assume the coating makes the CPS unit not read the rotor correctly. I assume the new CPS sensor has a stronger sensor

Texas build 12/2015. Not on the list for the CPS. I am on the list for the Rear Diff.

Interesting. If that were the case, why would the recall be for the sensor? Also, how could people remedy this with replacing the sensor at home?

I wonder if the sensors are being replaced with sensors of the same part #. Or if its the rotor are they using sensors with increased sensitivity.

No safety recall for me! Edit: Tejas built for those that want to start lighting torches and head to Tijuana.

The diff probably howled the CPS into submission.

(Also Toyota probably hasn't included my truck in this one just like the diff recall--even though it's still shite)

Good on Toyota for addressing the issue.....better than dodge's " little pick clip" that they never addressed or admitted too that left more dodge owners stranded than this issue.

I think the new sensor is stronger. I doubt they would replace the rotor. That's a lot of work
