Luckily most of our trucks are capable enough to handle our terrible lines

what, how does it manipulate the torque converter?? ;)

also @stronghammer while when you're truck is in L I bet you can bounce on the rev limiter if you wanted without it shifting, where with us being in Sport/Manual mode in 1st if we touch the limiter it shifts.

I'm not actually sure, haven't hit the limiter in L. I would assume it would stay in L.

Nothing about the torque converter is affected. Just transmission.

@chrisrocks300 manuals have flywheels and clutch plates. The clutch plate engages the flywheel (which is connected to the output shaft of the engine) to transmit power to the transmission. The transmission itself is a beast I am still learning. But in an auto, the flywheel and clutch plate are replaced by a flexplate and torque converter. As you can imagine, the torque converter itself would then have no influence in the function of the actual gear you are in, just as the clutch does not.

Sounded good to me. You didn't mix the flywheel and flex plate up.
