My Mexico built June 2016 TRD OR has been great so far and clear of all recalls to this point. Glad to see my VIN is not on the list for the CPS. Nice not to have to worry about that when I go miles off alone out into the desert.

Modifying the sensor sensitivity to compensate for another manufacturing error doesn't seem right for them to do. It's not how things are normally done.

I touched my rock chips up with MGM paint directly from toyota.

Doesn't look perfect up close but at least it hides the chips.

Yep, mine is on the list. I love the "Remedy Not Available" horseshit. Then goes on to say "When the remedy becomes available. Toyota dealers will replace CPS with a new one of improved design"... WTF? Good thing this came out today.. oh, wait! No it isn't. I already f'ing replaced mine two weeks ago, so I wouldn't get stuck out in the cuts with a POS CPS!! :annoyed:

I guess I just need to see if I still have a receipt for the one I bought and take it to a dealer? Walk out with about $115 cash? Sweet!

Derp. Mine apparently is not on the recall list for this. The sensor I replaced was indeed the "old" version. Oh well...

There is more than a little irony here?

The issue here is the "crankshaft timing rotor in the involved vehicles may have been produced with excessive anti-corrosion coating"--as opposed to Gen 1 and 2 frames produced with too little...

Checked my vin and only showing up with the diff recall. I know it was built in mexico and I purchased it in April 2016 but don't know the build date because I am currently a couple states away from home for a few more weeks. Is there a way to determine build date by vin?

Built 2/17 Sport DCLB 4WD auto from Baja - no CPS recall, just diff showing.
Interestingly, the the dealer reference ID for CPS campaign is H1H - the 1 meaning no remedy yet, but I thought it was clear there were "fixed" CPS modules available.
Yet the diff recall is showing as H0G - the 0 meaning remedy available. Are diffs getting fixed now? Hostages are being released?

I agree, I too am glad to see Toyota accepting responsibility and recalling something they know is defective. Not all manufacturers are as willing to have 2 recalls back to back for the same platform. I believe all the 'negative' press has finally put some pressure on Toyota corporate to show they are taking steps, albeit small steps, towards a resolution.

Mine January 2016 Offroad is not on the recall lists yet. I don't understand why the recall would even say 2017
