That is a cheap route, if that is what you are going for then that is perfect!

Just a couple notes to keep in mind though...
    • Your stock headunit will not be pushing any more power to these speakers than what the stock speakers are currently getting, so you may not get the performance upgrade you are looking for, but then again it maybe exactly what you were looking for.
    • You would get better performance out of them if you added a little extra power. People tend to like the Alpine Powerpack to get that "little extra" power. Costs about $120 and they are easy to install, but you do have to tap into wires behind the dash...
    • You are going to need door speaker mount adaptors, or you can get some self tapping screws for mounting the new speakers.
    • They do look like they will plug into the factory speaker harness on the doors so that is good.

No problem. I have been installing stereos in my cars and friends cars since i was 16 so i have gone the cheap route and the expensive route. I have been let down by the cheaper routes and ended up spending more to make up for it.

The expensive route has been my best experience by far for obvious reasons, but i have found a few places you can save some money in your build. I have found that the door speakers are typically what you want to spend your money on as they are the devices creating the sound you love so much!
