Thanks my dudes. The flat racks are super nice but I won't always have a tent on it so I wanted it to look good bare too. And I wanted the kick up in front to protect a light bar

Take the stock rails off and have Aaron build some tabs on the inside of the rack that bolt up. You only have to be higher than the countour of the roof. That should lower it at least an inch.

For some reason @a.smo didn't want to do that, don't you have to drill into the truck?

Nope. I would take a piece of flat stock (0.125"), and bolt that straight to the roof using the existing torx bolt holes. Then weld some supports between your rack and that flat stock. You could even pull the headliner (which is easy), drill out the existing holes, and throw some bigger bolts in there. Drill some counter sinks if you're feeling extra.

Hmm. We might consider that. Because I love the rack but I think it sits too high. And when I do the body lift it may not fit in the garage haha

I'm really digging it. I like the flat ones, but also like the low profile basket type like that.

Since I still haven't gotten shipping notice on the kings, I might go find a spot to camp a night. Any suggestions? I'm bored.

I've done that 3 or 4 times. Super fun trail, but really not all that pretty.

I've heard it's a fun trail. Would like to do it once my suspension is swapped out. I have buyers for everything, just need to take it off, get it rebuilt, and sent or hand delivered to them.
