Is there 1" spacer lift available?

I want approx. 1" of lift in the front...

I realize most people just get 5100's and set them at either .85 or 1.75, but I think a 1" spacer would work just fine... I had the TSB springs done and don't want to completely level the truck (I want just a tad of rake so that it sits level while towing...) If I buy the 5100's, I woud set them at .85...

I did a search and couldn't find anything...

Never saw such an animal. Closest I've seen to 1" is the .85 Bilstein.

 

Yeah, that's what I'll probably end up with...

 

they are very simple, if you can figure out the correct inner and outer diameters and any other measurements you mayn need, any machine shop with a lathe will be able to make thim in less than an hour

I bought this for my 05 Tundra several years ago. It says approx 3/4" of lift but I actually got 1". I took it off when I sold my Tundra and was actually thinking of putting it on the Taco for the same reason you mentioned.

 

fatbobs garage sells some polyurethane spring cushions that will give you exactly 1 inch. I am using them now. They are great.

 

Try toytec top plate spacer's! They should work just fine for what you are looking to accomplish!

 

I have the Eibach springs on my stock billys and I have about 1 inch of lift. Pics are in my gallery.

 

Are you talking about the coil spring isolators? Measures 1/2" but gives 1".

 

If your going to be running the bilstein shocks, we don't recommend the use of the top plate spacer.

The shock length is extended so adding a top plate spacer could cause the coil spring to hit the upper control arm because of increased down travel. The down travel would be increased more than we recommend too so damage could occur to ball joints, springs and CV axles.

My 5100s were exactly the same length as the OEM bilsteins. I am running a 3/8" top plate spacer on the driver side and it is close, but does not hit the coil at full droop.

 

The 5100's are about 1/2 inches longer than your stock OEM Bilsteins are, or from what we have measured.

 

If they were longer then you have binding issues, especially with the stock UCAs. Not to mention if they were longer you would get less up travel because the coil perch would need to be moved up and to make them longer they would have to be lengthened form the bottom of the shock. This would be of no benefit.
Trust me, they are exactly the same length.

 

I'm running Eibach 1.6" coils, 5100's at 0.85", a 1/2" top spacer on the driver's side, and a 1/4" spacer on the passenger side. Quite the cocktail!

Mathematically it should give me over 3" of lift. I ended up with 2.75" on each side. I'm still running stock UCA's. At full droop they touch the coil but just barely. Aside from a tiny spot of rubbed paint, I can't see any harm. I plan to go to aftermarket UCA's in the next few months.

 

So I happened to be going to the shop last night, so the owner and I decided to take a few pictures to show you the lengths.

 

wholly crap, according to your pics it looks as though it is about 1/8-1/4 inch longer.

When I did the same thing I must have mis-measured because they were the same. Nice pic and info. I guess I am wrong.

 

It was actually reading just under a 1/2 inch difference.
