Lets be real here , Rinne has had 2 poor games otherwise the Preds would likely at least have split

I know it's funnier with 2 minutes, but with spearing you've got to go for at least four.

4 minute double-minor for Attempted Spearing
5 minute major if any contact is made
    Match penalty for injury

True lol. Let's be honest though, you couldn't handle four minutes in her box.

For some reason I thought the NHL had a minor penalty rule around spearing.

So far the general consensus for Game 3 is Nash & under 5.5 with the general public and experts alike.

The swami will be weighing in soon.

All season mats, 2nd filter delete, DT header, Jardine cat-back, URD shifter, Bilstein 5100's all around at .85 front with Eibachs + .25 passenger/.5 drivers spacers and 1.5 AAL, 0w20 synthetic, Scanguage II, extra D rings, OEM backup camera+Mirror, bed mat, Extang Solid Fold, Popnlock 5300, Pro Comp 7089's 4.5bs 285/70/17 Revo 2s, De-badged
They would have won game one hands down, and more than likely won game 2. I say 50/50 at best pens had game 2.

Preds would've taken 1 and 2 if it wasn't for Bettman and his linesman cronies.

Have many of you been playing with the expansion draft simulators?

The more I fool around with them the more I realized:
    1. The new Vegas team will be competitive on paper. I mean, they'll be better than the Canucks at least. There is lots of skill players available in this draft. They won't be a high end talent top end heavy team, but I would think they'll try the four line strategy and there are more than enough decent players available to do that. Plus there are lots of decent defensemen available to platoon together a heck of a core until you find the combo that exceeds their market value, more on that in #3.
    2. Vegas will only have room for maybe 2 bad contracts. They won't be a cap team and there is a lot of skill available at market value. In the end there isn't as much room for overspending as you would think. Plus there are opportunities to take a great player at a bit too much money instead of a dead weight at a lot of money. I don't see how teams like LA will offload dead weight on Vegas without dropping their first round pick and some other pieces. It seems like there are 20-25 not great contracts to fill 2 spots in the league, never mind the horrid ones.
    3. Vegas will likely load up on defense or goalies. Once you find the roster players you really want you are left with a few young goalies and defense that are always trade bait type guys. Taking them could work into a trade up strategy with a team in need, and someone is always looking for a defenseman or the right goalie.
    4. While centers are valued, there are simply too many available in this draft for them to factor in much. Without trying you can pick #2,#3, and #4 multiple ways. There aren't really any true #1's available though, which can be solved likely with #2.
    5. Some teams really don't have much to lose. There wasn't really anything appetizing on several teams, including the Leafs. Other teams you wish you could pick 3-4 guys. It surprised me though how much a team like Ottawa, Chicago, Columbus, or Montreal has to lose. All of those teams are going to have to sacrifice someone they want for nothing and I haven't heard their names come up that much in talk online yet. I mean everyone knows about the Wild and Ducks situation as well.

Well thought through. I can only agree with your observations.

If they get their picks rights they will be competitive. Character guys with decent skill who work hard and stay on task can win a lot of hockey games . Being coached well will be the backbone of the season imo. There will be some good ice time for players to show what they've got. I see no reason why they couldn't be in the mix for plucking an eighth seed next spring if all involved are dialled in.

Of course it could also turn out to be a flop. Will be a fun storyline next season.
