That sounds like a great price to me, but you aren't from western NC. That's a $10k truck here.

This is incorrect recently my truck lost all coolent and I couldent figure out why my truck was getting hot till I popped the hood, the stock temp gauge is pretty smart actually and will slightly read higher or lower everyone says there only three modes for it cold hot and to hot, but my scan gauge would show my temp needle moving when I was at 220 then it would shoot up to maybe 1/4 under the red and that was at 235 degrees I could tell 100% the stock temp gauge is working and fluctuating

I wouldent but this truck, wait a little bit you'll find somthing better

Ok so I'm here with my mechanic and he says I'm looking at about $2000 of repairs to make it perfect. He says for the price and miles it has on it he would buy the truck. He mechanically it's in good shape. I will reply with the actual list he wrote down later tonight. Right now he is doing a compression test. If that checks out fine I will be buying this truck. I'll be happy to put another 2k into it to have a wonderful truck that will hopefully last me years to come.

So terrible news. My mechanic found a cross threaded spark plug that won't come out. That's a pain in the ass right there. I may have to pass on that and the truck. You guys ever deal with that before?

Yup that happend to one of my old trucks it cost me somthing like 1200$ to just get the truck running on all 6 cylinders the hole tapped and somthing screwed in so that the spark plug will fit in, I'm scared to change my spark plugs in the new truck

cross threaded plug would be a deal breaker for me, especially combined with everything else.

Agreed. I walked away from it. My search continues. Sucks because I liked the truck.
