Because this is at the beginning of the third gen run, does this also affect the LAST SECOND GENS?

This hasn't been updated yet but yeah all Gens have recalls and Toyota takes care of their customers . My 06 had several including the leaf springs that could explode and rupture my gas tank... Visual inspection I determined not needed for me so didn't waste my time to have them fix what was fine on my truck. Bottom line is they recall by vin numbers and it doesn't necessarily mean it effects your truck but they do it and act responsibly because they care !!

Lowest Domestic Auto Sales In Three Years Despite Record Inventories And Incentives

After abysmal March and April prints and growing speculation on Wall Street that auto sales are looking less like a "plateau" (Ford's term) and more like a debt-fueled bubble on the verge of a "2007-like" collapse (Bloomberg's term), analysts were looking toward May auto sales for signs of hope.

Unfortunately, the "hope" fizzled for the 5th straight month as overall auto sales declined again, with domestic light vehicles sales printing at an annualized 12.59 million, the lowest sales number going back more than three years, with GM missing badly even as its dealer inventory rose to a post-bankruptcy record "channel stuffing" high, while those carmakers who did beat expectations, did so by using record incentives and discounted sales to rental and other fleet customers (such as Ford).

Between the recalls and tapped out consumers the resale value of the 3rd Gen Taco may be fading..

True, and what about the Takata shrapnel air bags we all probably drove around with forever it seemed like ? Much more dangerous. Did you worry about that every time you drove ?

Just got a letter from Honda advising me to take my vehicle in for recall notice on the airbags. haven't owned that vehicle in 2 years.

Just shows that OEM part makers are really dropping the ball.

I'm talking about normal everyday driving with a vehicle perceived to have the best reliability with an issue that will leave you stranded when you least expect it. The Takata issue is separate as it requires an actual collision to deploy the airbag.

Be careful talking about the almighty, untouchable 3rd gen creator Mike Sweers. Any negative talk about him is frowned upon by a certain moderator on this forum and will get you a 30 day ban. Ask me how I know....

Actually there are more collisions than cps failures. Higher risk. I don't get your point at all really.

Nope but you do think about cps failure when your 25 miles up a trail at 12k ft in altitude.

Mine was hatched 09/15, bought it in October of that year. Checked my VIN, no CPS recall yet.
