Morning all. Got a solid 3 hours of sleep last night haha.

There was a cricket that was somewhere along the baseboard (might have somehow gotten under the carpet) in our room. Started chirping around 8:30 and by the time midnight came around I gave up trying to find it. Set a trap and we slept in our guestroom.

Cut the top off of a plastic bottle, invert it and tape it around. Put a good amount of sugar in the inverted lid and bottom of the bottle. They will go in but hard for them to get out.

You could also leave a bowl of molasses and then will hop into it and get stuck. But I didn't have any molasses and at that point I was going crazy listening to the thing chirping I didn't want to go out and find a 24hr store to get it.

Today's my normal Friday off, but I've got a few different people coming by to do stuff to the house, so I'm in a hurry up and wait schedule. I'm getting the pressure tank of my irrigation system replaced and my septic tank pumped. Hopefully it doesn't take all day so I can actually get some stuff done around here and maybe actually get the car and truck washed for the first time this season.

I've had a contractor here off and on for the past week and a half doing rot repair and painting the trim on the house, so I've been limited what I can do outside while he's here. My yard desperately needs a mow.

Stop and Shop in Raynham was a maximum of 20 minutes from where you were. Which Trader Joes did you go to? The closest one I can think of was Hanover or maybe Foxboro.

I worked at Shaws throughout high school, freshman year of college, then interned in their finance department during my sophomore and junior year summers in college.

I worked at Roche Bros for about 6 years from early high school into college before my co-ops and still remember 75% of the produce codes. I always want to help the cashier when they're struggling to figure it out, but I feel like then I'm just creepy old dude to them.

What a soap opera grocery stores are, though. I stayed out of it, but it was intense.

Haha yeah. I shouldn't have to go twenty min to go to a normal grocery store. I have one in walking distance now, and two 5 min drive from me now

I do actually love it when there isn't a bagger at the line I'm at. It's my inner engineer coming out and making everything fit. I go nuts when I get some dumb high schooler who puts my toilet bowl cleaner in with the chicken.

Didn't know who that was, so obviously I had to Google my competition.

Same height but I've got about 15 lbs on him. ...and I thought I was thin!
