Very true. I personally don't like the Brush guard(s), unless I had some land with brush on it (someday...), but it's been on there for so many years and the Mrs. likes it so it'll have to survive a bit longer. Although, I am gonna repaint the lower bumper so maybe I'll loose the mounting hardware in the process ;)

And yes, it almost certainly is about where you hit. If I clipped a deer on the corner it would definitely exacerbate the damage as many elude to. I'm sure I've more than jinxed myself talking about this now. Gonna drive real slow on the way home in the morning

    Wise Man :p

I hit a deer a while back and luckily no damage was done, even the deer made it away unscathed. Certainly messed me up though, ended up getting better lighting since it happened at night.

Very nice. I imagine you've been to ih8mud.com already? If not, it's the go to forum for anything cruiser. All of my cruisers WERE going to stay stock, originally.

It'll happen, lol. Just put it off as long as you can. That forum has soooooo much technical info on the Cruisers. An absolute godsend. In the 80 series section read anything from IdahoDoug and CruiserDan. Doug was part of the engineering team or something in the early 90s on the 80 series and Dan knows all regarding cruisers. I might be a bit of a fanatic so I read hours and hours and hours. Amazing rigs, the Land Cruiser line.

Will do, I know all the obscure junk about my Taco, so I suppose it is only fate for the cruiser which has yet to be named.

Unless it came from a cruiserhead, likely rebuild the front axle, really cool to do and not hard just time consuming. Uhhhh what else.... Been a while

Came from it's first owner with documentation saying that all the oils (diffs, cases, tranny, engine) had been done, belts and hoses (brake hoses too), spark plug, cap and rotor, coolant had all been done 2 months ago. I do want to put new shocks and a steering stabilizer on it though so if you have any stock height suggestions for those I'm all ears.

OEM Tokico shocks are high quality.

Tokico is good stuff for sure, I'm gonna guess they are a very pretty penny though with the age of these things. I think the rears are dead on mine, jury is out on the stabilizer.

Yeah, very likely shocks are gone at that age and mileage. Easy swap and since you're at it might as well put a set of 1.5" OME springs all around. Cruiser has a better stance you don't have to mod anything else and it was a couple hundred bucks. Lol
I think the shocks were surprisingly fair priced. I wanna say 35 bucks a piece or something?

I didn't even know there was supposed to be a coin holder there. I guess that explains the part sticking out inside the console. Never put much thought into what was supposed to attach there.
Not that I'd have any room for it anyway. I have so much stuff in there.

Yeah, I didn't either. Found out rummaging through Tacoma World threads that there was one. Kind of like the glove box light that I never knew was there.
