but it's likely happening on Sunday or Monday :)

nah, I'm keeping the compressor, and ARB deflator and all my tow straps, but I'll probably just toss them in the new truck... I'm giving him everything else

I thought the idea was to save money?!

You're actually making me want a diesel right now. Luckily, my Taco is paid off, and the amount I would get on trade in isn't worth it, so I will get to keep it if i do go that route, which will probably happen once we get a bun in the oven.

    it is!

but, I told the wife, since I'm downsizing my payment by $250 a month, I will be keeping what I make on the Tacoma for mods on the new truck :)

dude is buying my Tacoma for $39,000 and I only owe $33,800 or somewhere in that ballpark.... so that leaves me w/ around $5,000 to get it registered, pay sales, tax, and mods :D

I forgot to say something about the diesel trucks a couple of days ago that I just remembered. You said you disagreed that they start to break down around 150k, and if they did it is because they weren't properly taken care of. And I agree with that, but the issue is finding one that is properly taken care of - most people are lazy! So hopefully the one you are buying falls within the well-taken-are-of category.

My brother-in-law's 250 is a beast. I love that truck.

One of my good friends just got the Colorado with the 4 cyl duramax. Beats the shit out of my gas 4 cyl power-wise but wasn't as powerful as I would thought it would be.

yes! totally agree with this statement. You can easily break a diesel truck at 100k miles if you dont keep up with the maintenance (and there is a LOT more maintenance than a regular gas engine)

and I have been talking with the guy w/ the truck I posted (I'll repost it below so you dont have to search) but it appears to be in immaculate condition. he has service records, it's all dealer maintained, it's bone stock, and it looks well taken care of / babied.

no way man.... I've had 3 6.0L diesels and 2 7.3L powerstrokes.... total in "fixing" them from the truck breaking down... I've spent less than $1500

I've NEVER had a diesel catastrophically break on me. *knock on wood* :fingerscrossed:

but if you know how to take care of them, they will take care of you....

This is a far in the future mod, but I'm eventually get a Prinsu Cabrac and want to know if anyone has or could recommend a good (but cheaper) awning that could mount to the side? @fatfurious2

Any time should be ok. I have grocery shopping to do, but other than that I'll probably be just prepping stuff to move. I will probably knock that out after @Me. Projekt picks up his stuff in the AM so if you want to stop by then, thats fine. I believe he said he would stop by around 8? I'll be up and moving around by 6:30. Also, if you want the viair 88p, since you are purchasing the impact and all the sockets, I'll throw that in for another 20 bucks. If you don't want it, no worries. Just let me know when would be convenient for you.
