I really have no problem with the 3rd gens (at least not the ones that don't have all the chrome in the grill and look like a cheese grater) I go to church with a guy that has a 16 dclb in silver and its an sr5 and everything is color matched and or black and it looks pretty good. he said he didn't like the tranny at first but once he figured it out he likes it a lot and he gets like 25 mpg or somethin

 

I don't like them stock, at all. Not that I love 2nd gens stock, but they at least look proportional. 3rd gens NEED to be modified. My favorite to this day though is a clean modified black 3rd gen. Too much love for all the new colors and they've become more common than easily offended teenagers nowadays.

Not crappy at all. I just want a little more low end torque. These engine run fast and hard if you let them rev. No super available yet means gears are the way to go. Not to mention gears are cheaper. I tow 4000 to 6000lbs regularly. Always seem to have a car hauler with something on it behind the truck.

 

This anyone on here? Good looking truck.

 

Higher RPM torque range is what threw me off of the 3rd gen. Not to mention the cartridge oil filter.
