Has anyone tried this conversion? I know it's a long way to go for a wheel/tire pkg. that I would like. I have looked at custom billet adapter spacers, that would be an easy install ( except on the wallet ). I don't like that option for many reasons, one being the 2" spacer & offset of wheels.

I don't think the front will be hard. New 5 lug disk rotors with same spindle size? The rear is harder to research, and my knowledge to match part #'s failes me.
If a '01 SR5 5 lug complete rear end has the same specs as my '01
Pre-Runner it would be a fairly easy swap. But I have no idea of gearing
differences. Next would be an axle swap, again no idea if it would work.

Any imput in this research would help.
Information = Good....... Good Information = Priceless

how about shopping around for different wheels? thats what I would do. You'll end up coming out cheaper in the end. If you do swap out everything to 5 lug in the end your smack your head up against the wall saying why why why did I do that.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
You want to do all this for a 5 lug rim?

Seems an excessive amount of work. for the money you could probably get a machine shop to whittle out some one off wheels for the same if not better look.

Well I got the " what the hell I doing part of this idea " long before posting. And I agree, alot of work for something that sounds like I'm going backwards to a 5 lug.

I've found the magic of Dupi-color adheshion promoter here on the fourm and went nuts w/ it. Blacked the badges, black Westin step bars, blacked the faded red on top of the front bumper, and got tired on putting Mothers Back to Black on the flares every month so I did them too. Deep tint on windows. When my IT wife gets back in the counrty I'll post a pic. As for now lets say the truck is red & black.
I don't really care for all black wheels on this truck. Being an old school guy and having these wheels http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=wheelCloseUp&wheelMake=American+Racing+Authentic+Hot+Rod&wheelModel=Torq-Thrust+D&wheelFinish=Anthracite+w%2FMach+Lip on my '66 Mustand fastback & '55 Chey I would like to go retro.
