some people dislike it, others dont. I dont mind it at all. I bought the truck knowing what it was a small high output v6.

Your absolutely right... perspective is reality. With that being said, my perspective is that the Tacoma does not have a V8 therefore it should not perform like one. If more power or low end torque is necessary, buy a Tundra. I have no problem with power around town. I did a thorough test drive and my perspective of the Tacoma has not changed, that's why I bought it. Let's enjoy our trucks.

I don't believe you because there is a record of you talking out of both sides of your mouth. You are also complaining about mpg problems when you have a manual which you are in complete control over. I get the AT guys saying their mpg sucks because they have no control of the transmission but your left leg and right arm is in complete control over the shifting of your vehicle so even if you do actually have a problem it's with your driving and your driving conditions not the vehicle.

Agreed. Except he also says in other posts his MPG is fine and gets above 20.

I think OP lied about how good it was and then he woke up, came to his senses and realized the truth for what it is. Honeymoon is over.

Truth meaning, test drives are pretty important and obviously people here don't fucking do them before they set themselves up for a lifetime of bitching on TW?

Most people test drive for 30 minutes get razzle dazzled by sales guy chatting their ear off and the new car smell. Then they're on here reading horseshit about how gas mileage will improve and transmission will improve with "break in" which is totally false and then they realize the truck isn't meeting their expectations.

Well, most people should learn to do an actual test drive like an adult. Most of the problems aren't the truck, the problem is the owners.
