Haha how do you go from a bent axle shaft to a D60?

I'm going to just do the swap. Regardless of circumstances, I have a bad love for jumping trucks. I'll trash it eventually if I don't upgrade. Just pissed it's sort of forced.

You said you were offroad though?

see, right there, you were getting on it cause the stupid truck wouldnt move.

If it screws your alignment, its bad.

Oh and now your jumping it? I mean it doesnt sound like you know that sport THAT well. By no means trying to lecture you, just dont quite understand where your confusion is.

So the axle shaft or the axle housing is bent. Who exactly is telling you it's bent. If it's just the shaft i'd rather put some 4340 or 300m shafts in it and build a truss rather than drop 5-6 on a 60.

    I don't like rear 60's, I'd prefer a built 9"

    Your confusion is the timeline.

    1) Bought new truck
    2) lifted/modified truck
    3) Never off-roaded before aforementioned trip
    4) Drove hwy and light dirt road on first day of trip
    5) Brake stuck overnight of first day
    6) Had to use rear locker to break loose the e-brake
    7) Continued on trip
    8) Wheeled hard, but did NOT jump THIS truck. It's not built to jump yet.

Synopsis, this truck was new, never offroaded before the brake stuck. Toyota said the axle was bent and that is why the brake stuck. So since this truck had never been seriously wheeled at all prior to the brake sticking. Logic, per Toyota is that the axle would have to have been bent before it was ever offroaded.

    Clear it up?

By the description it is the housing, a bent axle shaft is not going to tweak alignment. The 60 is only $1999 though...

FYI, called Dynatrac. The D60 they offer is for 05-15'. Discussions on making a Gen3, but none offered at the moment.

Hahaha holy shit dude. Glad you're on TW you get flamed for that kinda nonsense on a strictly off-road forum.

You know the sport yet want to run a Currie D60 for your small tires. Just go pull a 14 bolt and shave it down.

Guys like you aren't fab friendly I'm guessing looking for bolt in. Just a guys with more money than know how in the sport.

Best thing you could do is contact rcv and get lifetime shafts. Problem solved.

Edit. No disrespect. I too am of little know how. Lol

Just measure to comapare the width of your spring perches and shock locations vs a second gen...it's the same frame pretty much so odds are the second gen one will work right ?

I'm going 35s eventually, this is only build 1. Yes I know axles, ran D60 rear and ProRock44 front on my last Rubicon on 40s. I overbuild always for the future.

This just happened to be this truck's first off-road excursion. A week long deep desert run in UT.

Never mind you had 4wp install your lift. You're going over your head changing more than axle shafts.

I had them do it out of convenience. It's moderate lift, and I didnt' have time to mess with it. I can do an axle swap. The gear-work I'll have someone do for the warranty aspect of it.

I am chill, but for the money of a junkyard axle like most off-road guys run verses buying a complete bolt in ready from Currie is ridiculous. If you want to blow money on the project by all means. Part of the sport is learning to repair, build, and fabricate.

Could've added to the conversation ya know
