My badges came out great. Just did my grille yesterday. Was going fine until I switched to a new can for the 5th coat and it shot out blobs and drips that I attempted to cover with more coats. They are still there and now I'm going to have to remove it all and start over.

Well that sucks. I typically try to spray on newspaper prior to each new coat for that exact reason.

Probably the cleanest CMC job I've seen. Did you go with the BAMF plates?

 Eric, you are thinking about getting rid of your grille because of the weight? Am I hearing that right? That is 40# of bitch'n up front, man! Plus, I've seen you post your MPG, you're getting like 22-23 MPG, so who cares about the weight? Are you having any other issue with the grille? Rusting around the bolt holes? I know you guys in OK see a ton of rain, so I am curious...

Any frontal pics? Yes, of the truck.
Did you paint/powder coat light brackets? They look black in pic.
What beam pattern you go with?
Sorry for all the Q's. I have been trying to decide if I want do the ditch light thing.

OEM all weather mats, predator tube steps, TRD CAI, OEM rubber bed mat, derp
I used to derp my friends grilles and rims for $$ first coat go 50% transparent then do 4 more after that are slow and thick so it looks wet that's the best way for it to stick and solidify smoothly. When you switch to a new can you gotta remember you haven't shaken it nearly as much as the old and you should always test your spray on cardboard before each go at least that's what I do and it prevents hours of work getting shat on and if you add a glossifier at the end one really good slow and wet coat it's almost like adding 2 good coats of protection. Helps keep the color longer aswell. Just my .02

@Lord Humongous I should've kept my mouth shut last night about drilling holes. Installing my extant encore and it calls for drilling 2 holes 3/4" in the bed for drain tubes for the drip rails.

That's a nice cover. Just do like I did and read the instructions 50 times and measure about 100 times before starting:thumbsup:. Definately use a smaller pilot hole so she don't walk on you!

That being said, a 46" terd is impressive, mine usually stop at about 28"-30"

Anyone on here make a coin holder for a manual transmission? The cup holder layout is different and I'm going crazy with coins all over the place. Haha..

Thanks man! @Speed Freek did the CMC work and cut his own plates for it. Couldn't be any happier. If you need work done, I would definitely recommend him.

I always thought that if I ever bought a double cab I would take the entire back seat out. No one would be riding back there anyhow.

Check out the ones @tacitos does.. There's a thread about them. I plan on picking one up myself soon! https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...er-for-sale-ongoing-updated-5-18-2017.487307/

Edit: missed the part about a different layout.. At work. If you don't have that lil square spot behind the Shifter it might not work.
