What up dudes. Kinda new here. I used to frequent this forum when I had a 3rd gen t4r but I toyotalled it a few years ago. Anyway just picked up a 2010 AC 5m 4banger. Loving it so far. Hope to participate in the shenanigans on here. Oh yeah and I'm in fort Washington area.

Nice! I'd be down but I work weekends!

I have some 3rd gen OR shocks to install and I wrecked the sway bar end links so it'll keep me busy for a bit before I can do any wheeling.

I don't know! I haven't wheeled out here before, so I was just gonna go wherever he takes me. Can't be anything TOO crazy because I'll be stock height.

Haha we're going to be the blind leading the blind. I've never been anywhere out here besides far up Pennsylvania. I head Peter's Mill is very mild, stock friendly. We can do that, and then in the same location is Flagpole Knob, which is supposed to be more difficult, so we can attempt it and if it gets hairy then we'll turn around or we can all hop in whoever's truck can make it. My truck has full skids, sliders, and a 2-3" OME lift. Hopefully my 33" MT tires will be on by then.

Hell yeah. If the budgeting works out the way I'm thinking it will, I should be able to be lifted ASAP and that'll be a little better. Do you have a snatch strap?

I have a tow strap, but its not a snatch strap. I have front and rear recovery points but no winch.

Alright. I'm gonna pick up a snatch strap and a rear receiver shackle point for myself then. I learned the hard way that snatch straps are a must! Story below.

You should be good on stock suspension, I chased a bunch of lifted trucks at rausch in my trail limo, you just scrape more than anyone else will. The recommended solution is to just turn the radio up louder.

    Stock....ish
Peters mill is very tame. More like a fire road with some rocky spots that you have to take slow but a Subaru can make it. Flagpole is fun, different ways up but also stock friendly

I just checked map and looks like flagpole is another 2 hours away, so we will probably just do Peter's Mill and hang out around there, eat food, scope out future camping spots, explore, etc.

Gotta love this state sometimes. There's a road near me that's a 35 mph zone, but then drops to a 30 mph and RIGHT after there's a traffic cam that'll give you a $40 ticket if you're going 42+ mph. So shitty, especially considering it's a main road with 2-3 lanes each way :annoyed: It's even gotten my wife and brother when he was visiting so I'm extra careful.

You could get it Md inspected before purchasing, to see if everything passes, and then you would be ready to wheel again instantly.

Him and I discussed that via pm, but he's a few hours away from MD and it'd be a hassle with all the logistics of everything. I'm very happy with my soon to be new truck.

Plus I got an unexpected deposit from Uncle Sam this morning! It's from when I moved here back in February, so I'll be able to throw on a lift and some other goodies instantly. Going to do a lift off right the bat and then all the other peripherals i.e. recovery gear, weathertechs, shift knob, etc. All those smaller purchases that really seem to add up.
