It would be nice for changing/showering, especially with Lyd.. but I just dont want to deal with zipping it on and off. no way it would close up with our sleeping bag and everything else in there.

Yeah, I seriously question the ability for it to close up with it attached. Even with the added room my cover has. IDK, probably need to watch a video of it being done. I attached mine on site, and it was kind of a pain in the ass, plus had to remove the cover so that the annex could slide into that channel. I'm an amateur though so I am likely not totally doing it right. The extra place was nice though.

    Some stuff here and there....
Whit and I use ours but only if the truck is staying put for more than one day. It gets easier to put on and take off after a couple times of doing it. I personally love it. It does go easier with two people doing it aswell. All in all about 2 min to put on. Biggest pain is folding it back up to put in the bag

Zipping it on and off isn't too bad I have used mine a few times in the last year when it was raining.. super awesome place to get out of the weather. I also find it helped a lot when it's 6+ feet off the ground. When the bottom of the tent sits lower and all the excess bunches up at the bottom it is a pain in the ass.

Pretty much the same here. When I had the lady with me we always used it so she could have a room to change and do her thing. I got pretty good and putting it on and tearing it down. Now that I got smart and chose the single life it will probably stay in the duffle bag for a while.

rock out with your cock out in the camp site now eh?

my tent always sat too low to functionally use it, unless the dog was sleeping down there. might try it with the new rack now that it's higher.

The Star Gazer is a pretty nice feature in all the brands. We used ours up at Moab, Bryce, and GC last week. We could see the Milky Way going to sleep as well as a handful of shooting stars. I'm really getting the bug to do this shit OFTEN!

The Annex as most pointed out is easier the more you use it. I agree there's no way the annex is fitting in the cover when the tent folds up. A couple sleeping bags (or few blankets) and pillows is about it! I would not bother with it for an overnighter. I have one of theose instant pop up shower rooms that would work for a lady to change / shower / or dump if needed. Also, if more than one night, I slide the black cover out of its groove as well.

Well I pretty much do that whenever anyway so nothing new there!

I never used mine until the tent was up on the shell. It's the perfect height up there. On the last deer hunt we had all our shit in the annex plus a cot for an extra bed. Still had plenty of room too. It definitely has it's advantages.

I will throw in my .02 while we are at it. I have the Mt. Bachelor with the extended annex on our Land Cruiser and we keep the annex on it all the time and fold it up still attached. Surprisingly it does all fit under the cover as long as you don't have sleeping bags etc. in the tent. It is so much nicer not having to zip and unzip it every time. I can add some photos if anyone wants to see.

Please add pics. Sleeping gear is easier to pack up than the annex for sure!

Here's what it looks like all closed up. The annex is just spread out on top in there.

CVT also makes an additonal channel specifically for this purpose.
