    Greetings all

IronHeadFred here, just north of Santa Fe NM.
This is my 1st Toyota (been a Ford guy since 74) > and I WISH I'd had purchased a Toyota sooner. I've got the 3.5L engine TRD 4x4 Crew cab which I installed a SoftTopper w/rollup sides & mesh windows, along with a Rhino Bull Bar w/2 fog lights, Rhino Side steps, Toyota roof rack, AMG Side step tailgate assist, K&N Air filter system, custom seat covers, custom interior dash pad. That's about it for now, so far.
    My questions are
    1. What kind of performance chip/s? monitors work BEST w/engine size?
I'm thinking of a Borla exhaust single muffler, from cat back converter system?

    2. Does doing ANYTHING to the electrical system VOID the warranty?

Thanks all for your input & experience in making your Tacoma YOUR Tacoma.

    r/IronHeadFred

    First welcome.

    1. There are no performance chips or tuning for this engine yet. Lot of desire for one but none exists. Exhaust and cold air intakes will make more noise and not give any discernible power increase. Save your money. Also some have installed exhausts only to regret it later because of the Drone this 3.5L makes at highway speeds/rpms.

    2. If you modify something in the electrical system and a problem pops up with the electrical system if the dealer knows or finds that you modified it, then yes they could likely void coverage for that portion of your vehicle. They cant void your warranty on other parts of the truck if the modification is not related to it. Just use common sense here in that situation.
