Post your mpg

Recent trip, mostly Interstate. About 815 miles into the trip.

This Tank reading was on I-40 Eastbound, near Jackson, TN. Relatively flat road, around 90 miles since last fill-up, Cruise Control ON. Speed 70 MPH when pix taken (and for the previous 90 miles). (Note: 1800 RPM = 70 MPH = 6th gear [automatic])
Did NOT get the same MPG on the return trip in this area, so the road might have been on a slight decline.
My next several fill-ups on the Interstate showed a calculated average of about 24 MPG, according to my FuelLog app.

I do NOT get that kind of MPG in the city! (More like 21 MPG)

Also noted MPG was reduced when comparing MPG with Cruise ON, and Cruise OFF in slightly hilly terrain. Still downshifts too far when CC ON, even with second transmission update.

 

23.5 mpg over the last 7500 miles.

 

This was just before I filled up this morning, 425.8 mi/19.256 g =22.1 average mpg for this tank.

 

Here's mine. 416.6/18.596= 22.4 MPG. A range of driving from city to highway at 75MPH with AC on. I didn't expect it to be this good as I drove aggressively on the highway with the air on. Holy shit at Roc. We both have 63 degree outside temp. Dude, you owe me a beer--jinxers.

I usually get 10.9 litres for every 100 kilometers on the Highway and around 14 in the city I live in. not much worse than my old 2015 rear wheel drive

MPG drop off at about 15,000 miles, eleven months old. I've been noticing my mpg dropping lately. First maybe due in small part to more local driving but secondly and I believe more importantly I've become more cavalier and comfortable driving my 2016 TRD double cab 4x4 so I'm not babying it as much and I've resumed my usual in a hurry driving habits.
I use almost consistently shell 93 premium gas because it is a proven top tier best engine cleaning detergent fuel and months ago I noticed a small 1 mpg gain with it vs non top tier 87 octane.
The owners manual calls for 87 octane or above.
Anyone else notice a dip in mpg at 15,000 and one year old? Dannyblues

 

Get the Gas Tracker app (fuelly.com). It's a good way to keep track of mpg, fuel & maintenance costs and compare with other Taco owners. I (ADK Taco) started in late January have logged over 6700 miles and am averaging 24.3 mph.

 

Not sure I would consistently buy 93 octane for a 1 mpg difference? My 2011 mustang had a rating of 412 hp with 91 or higher octane and 402 at 87 octane. I think u r throwing ur money away for 93 octane on a V6, imo. Maybe occasionally run it but not all the time...just saying

 

I uncorked a 468.7 mile tank today driving from Tropic, UT to my home in Tucson. Including 40 miles of dirt road. 18.382 gallons for my best mpg of 25.5. AC for all but the first hour of driving.

 

Post 57317 in what did you do to your 3rd. gen today .

 

2017 DCSB OR truck is completely stock. Have been averaging a hand calculated 19-21mpg running 87. 21mpg if I'm driving vs 19 for my wife lol We live north of Seattle so hills a plenty

 

i don't believe using 20-35 miles a true test of mpg as I have seen here....I have been averging 22-24 mpg over the whole tank and usually fill up and put in anywhere between 16 and 19 gal.....I figure that o be a true test......in addition, I travel 50/50, city and freeway.......conservative driver and speed is between 65 and 70 most of the time.....

How does that stack up with some of the other guys here
