Not trying to be an ass, but what's the advantage of that bumper over stock? It doesn't look much different. Is it just weight savings?

    Protection without added weight!
The stock plastic bumper would have been ripped off several times on my last Moab trip, with these you get added protection without adding weight, I will also be adding recovery points and backup lights.

Talk to me about that bed rack. Could I use a trifold tonneau with that?

I believe so, the base rail would likely need to be cut for the latches though.
I hope to test before production

I don't have the oem. Just some vinyl rugged cover trifold.

That sounds awesome. Will you have a version that lines up with the roof line ?:fingerscrossed:

Are they just replacement caps or an entire bumper with the stock plastic over the middle?

I will but the doors won't fit with the lower rack, this one fits over the soft topper and I will have a cab rack that will continue the same height over the cab.
    I have a thread I'll keep updated.

If you add a tire carrier to that bumper and maybe high clearance hitch location I'd buy it in an instant haha

Just new wings, they also tie into the fame at the hitch bolts for added strength. should be a good low cost bumper alternative for those looking for a strong, lite bumper with recovery points and light options without changing the look to drastically.
Price will likley be close to 1/2 of what a full replacement bumper cost.
I do plan to offer a few different bumper options but wanted to start with somthing different.

Not for this bumper but I do plan a high clearence bumper with swingouts.
I have jumped all in on aluminum fabrication and hav the shop set up pretty well for aluminum now,
I have many aluminum options in the works!

How will the aluminum front/rear bumper hold up to recovery situation? Will it bend or distort compare to steel plate bumpers?

FWIW there are quite a few a front bumpers out there (mine is aluminum from Pelfreybilt) and as long as it is quality plate of an adequate thickness there is no reason it should be an issue

A properly designed aluminum bumper will hold up fine in recovery situations.
It is by no means as strong as the steel version but a great option for most.
I will also be offering steel/aluminum hybrid bumpers as well.
Most all my products are modular which allow me to offer hybrid versions, it also allows for replacement of one part if damage were to occur rather that replacing the entire bumper.

I wish I could say, I still need to do some testing with the bsm.
I'm hopping soon but it all depends on if I can get caught up on my current orders.
I have a lot of big plans for the Tacoma just haven't had the time to finish up.
