    Don't solder.... , cut. use butt connectors to make a new solid connection. Then heat shrink when solid.

    I don't go to the pound. All dog's I've saved have forever homes or live here now except one. He's Senior and not good with little dogs or I'd have him. People don't adopted Senior dog's. However he's at a great rescue and has an unlimited supply if tennis balls to chew and other senior dog's to play with. Not to bad of a life and I hope he get a home one day.
