My dad and his family are all from Hawaii, my last name (DeMello) is Portuguese Hawaiian. I recently did a DNA test and it came back 7% Polynesian. I've only been to Hawaii once and I loved it.

Thank you! We try really hard. And yes those hybrids should be DOM. We changed over at some point, but it's been a while. I don't think we advertise that on our site but I need to make those changes on there.

Yeah, not too bad. I even did it myself using some wood on my floor jack to balance them on, and bolted them up. I did drill the extra couple of holes for the added strength. Use new drill bits, that frame material is hard! There is also a drivers side bolt that will hit and rub one of the brake lines, so you want to move that line out of the way and protect it from rubbing the bolt or else it will rub a hole in it.

Awesome. Mine should be I this week. Is all the hardware included? Even extra bolts in case you still into frame?

All the bolts were included with mine. He even gave me the extra bolts as well, but I'm not sure if those are normally included, or he just gave them to me since I was there chatting with them.

This is key. Locking the bottom edge of the mounting plate to the frame is essential to making the sliders work as intended. Drilling holes along the bottom edge works well and has long been the solution. As many manufacturers moved to "no drill" options, they sort of forgot this key engineering requirement. We spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to do it without drilling.

I really dig the look of your new design. Pretty stylish. The design of the gussets is a nice touch.

I finally got my RCI sliders installed tonight. It didn't take long and I did it by myself. All of my holes lined up and everything tightened flush with the frame (no gaps due to possible frame changes on 17'?) All the extra hardware for drilling the other 4 holes on the bottom of the frame was included. During a static lift, I can jack up my truck with the slider mounted totally bolt up. I am going to drill and use the remaining hardware though, as the forces of impact during use can be greater than a static lift.

Not sure why people are so concerned about drilling a few holes in the Tacoma frame. Its a modified C channel frame and it's not especially thick. Coming from a Jeep back ground, you have to drill for everything... through a box frame.... and use a sleeve. Serious PITA and the source of many rusted Jeep Frames.

The RCI sliders really look nice. I didn't get the plated tops so they are very simple, clean, and match the lines of the truck very well. It's dumping rain right now, so I'll add some installed pics tomorrow.

I have a silly noob question. Beyond the obvious of what these sliders accomplish and protect, do sliders protect your doors from dings in parking lots or are they too close to the body to intercept contact from a neighboring door?

Cool. I'm thinking of getting the mobtown. If I'm being honest with myself, they will be more for parking lot protection than off-roading. I get out in the mountains frequently but I'm not rock crawling.

I don't rock crawl. I just went on my second trail and this happened. I don't know whether or not it saved me but I'm glad that I had sliders.

Step, protects rockers and doors from stone chips, keeps children and pets feet/legs slipping between the outer and inner tube causing them to get hurt, sexiness (At least I think ours are).

Protect the rockers from rocks and sticks etc coming up between the rails. A big reason for me was, if you have little ones it prevents their little limbs from slipping between the bars.

20170602_193719.jpg Not the best pic. I'll get better ones tomorrow. In the meantime I think you can zoom in for one
    view of the sliders.

Could you please share some close ups with how much of the slider actually sticks out and can serve as a stepping point?

    Thanks!
