No Storm Trooper build here. Just placed the first piece of my Darth Vader edition. This little decal was actually pretty hard to install because all the tiny sticker pieces around Vader's mouth and eyes didn't want to stick at first. I thought of @Me. Projekt the whole time. :D

So all that talk about diesels the other day and the guy I sold my truck to. Well he won the Diesel Power Challenge last year in his 6.0 f250. The truck I sold him pulled his race to truck to Colorado and back to VA no issues. Well this morning he is towing the rig back to Colorado for this years diesel power challenge and the transmission goes. Glad I got rid of that truck. Its in great hands now and he dropped the transmission on the side of the road and getting a new trans to get his race truck to the competition. Hope he wins again this year.

Transmission are often an issue in diesels too. If only they would match a Cummins engine with an Allison transmission…(sigh). I would buy that in a heartbeat.

Yah, I will say, I may or may not have been copying yours just a little...

I do need to redo my front bumper, I dorked up the angles on the main plate. I'll have a new center plate on order soon and @Arcticelf is going to get to welding!

Newbie question, what is benefit of full steel bumper vs. hybrid besides weight savings? What are things to look for in an aftermarket front bumper? I guess argument that a full steel is stronger stands, but I don't ever plan on bashing anything from my front bumper, if I ever hit anything it'll be either a car collision accident or a slow impact while rock crawling. Both bumpers would probably need to be replaced in a high speed collision and I think a hybrid would hold up bumping into a boulder slowly. Thoughts?

I think most choose a hybrid for the looks and possibly weight savings. Outside of that, there isn't much difference. But I don't think I have seen a 3 hoop hybrid, just the middle hoop option.

And what benefits do the hoops give you besides looks? Its a rare scenario where a rock comes at your car from above the headlights right? Or am I just naive...

Thanks brother! I used BF/Pelfrey as inspiration and guesstimated. @Arcticelf did all the welding and tube bending

Full plate bumper covers more, means it will take a deer or lesser car with less damage to you. I've seen @stairgod put his against a tree and use it like a slider for a pivot.

Hybrid is lighter and looks better (IMO). I'd pick the style you like and not worth too much.

The upper hoops are for brush and small trees, they let you play elephant more effectively.
