Right across from Adam's hood there's some stocked neighborhood ponds, his hood is also on the river with a decent floating dock.

You need a NuCanoe with a trolling motor. They are badass and I want one.

I wanted to add a trolling motor to my canoe with a decent little solar panel to help a battery array along, but last time I took it out, we flipped the dang thing cause my oldest kid kept messing around. So now thinking about a John boat or smaller center console, maybe a fishing pontoon. Part of me still thinks it would be okay if I added an outrigger to offset the kids.

A NuCanoe is way, way, WAY more stable than a regular canoe.

Those are nice for sure...I've looked at the Frontier for ease of adding the motor on the back. The motor definitely makes it nice.

Busted CV boots and lots of squeaks.
    image.jpg image.jpg So, I just almost died.

I've been driving my Jeep becuase the truck has been hooked to the dump trailer. I've been putting in a new water line at my house today, so I'm dirty and tired. I hoped in the Jeep, took off, and headed home. I got to an intersection on a main road, with some traffic coming, hit the brakes, and the pedal went to the floor. I had nothing. Downshift 3,2, and slam into 1. Busted front passenger brake line.

I'll tell you, it was close. I was almost T boned.

I limped it back to the property and drove the Tacoma and dump trailer home.

That's enough excitement for one day.

Another great option for pond/creek fishing would be a M10 with the foot-steer trolling motor from creekboats.com .
They are great little boats at a reasonable price...compared to a Hobie Outback.

Woah! Close calls suck. I had one headed home myself the other day. Silly chick with her face buried in her cell phone pulled out of her driveway in front of me. The back of the truck was bouncing and the brakes were ABS'ing. I was almost close enough to read her damn text message. Had my kids in the truck, too. Man, I wanted to turn around and give her a driving lesson.

My boys are usually non stop, but had a hard time dragging them away from the fun when we were there.

I saw a couple of those not long ago at Cabela's in G-vegas. There were two out on display. Very nice. Lots of money. They were fully setup for fishing with a trolling motor, and had a single battery. Pretty nice setup.
