As the ol' 3rd gen continues to drop in price more and more people are building them. I see them everywhere now.

 

Got it. the truck has like 22k miles. Still pretty new. I don't tow, but put a few hundred pounds in it occasionally when camping. Hard to believe the Springs are toast on it.

I move my tool box to see what centering the load does. Thanks for the input though.

 

No worries at all. I'd be surprised that the springs are worn out after 22k miles, unless you've been doing some occasional jumps here and there

Just keep an eye on them. Next time you load up the truck or the trailer, take a look underneath and see where the axle is sitting in relation to the bump stops, and compare that to empty, heavier/lighter loads, etc. That'll give you a good idea and context for which loads will ride well, and which ones are compressing the suspension too much.

Anyone have the allpro U-bolt flip with Timbren bumpstops?

 

New to Washington and wondering if anyone could recommend somewhere around Mt Rainier suitable for a day trip tomorrow.

 

I have the full timbren kit, flip and bumps from wheelers. I don't see much difference between the two.

 

Gillforf pinoch national forest or up 410. Paridise ect

 

@dakotasyota I went for a cruise up the ski hill summer road today. Made it almost to the top of hyak, and a out 1/2 way to the top of silver fir. I could have aired down to 10psi and gone a lot farther but was solo.

I ski down them in the winter. Might as well drive up them in the summer.

Im gonna do the flip but figured I would see how people like those or go with mounts and air bumpstops.

I like them. But I don't have a comparison other than the stock bumps. Much better than stock and the perfect height for my shocks.

 

My friend broke his panhard mount in the middle of Tahuya on one of the new trails, I went down and picked him up. Always plate the frame where ever a bracket is welded kids...

I've seen 3 4Rs come in my shop with either a broken mount or bushing. But that's a LC isn't it?
