Woohoo....got the go ahead.

Well the wife gave me the ok to go ahead and get my 6" lift if I want to. She thinks I am crazy because I have a 3" Revtec on it now that is less than 2 months old (it will be for sale as soon as the new lift is put on). I just want something bigger. Now all I have to do is figure how much money I want to spend on the Fabtech or Procomp. Stage 1 or 2....hmmmmmm. Do the stage 1 now and save some cash and get 35's at the same time and then do the upgrades to stage 2 a few months down the road or go ahead and do the stage 2 and have to wait on my 35's. Thats the question I am struggling with. Help!!

How much you planning on asking for the Revtek?

If you're going to lift, wait till you have money for the 35"s, not sure how the current wheels and tires would look, but its better to just do it all at once IMHO.

Also, just my opinion, but I think your truck looks pretty badass as it is...

 

even though it may hurt, ever think of buying the stage 2 then put it on when you get the wheels and tires?

 

Not sure on the asking price of the Revtek...make me an offer. The wheels are staying the same....I have 265 70 17 Firestone Destination M/T's on it now. So I need bigger tires with the lift.

 

Thought about it but I know how I am. I will not be able to wait to put it on once I get it in hand. No patience. That is why Im thinking of getting the stage 1 and tires now and then in a few months go ahead and get what is needed to make it a stage 2.

 

will the bigger tires not fit with your current lift? not sure of tire sizes

 

For sure go with the Fabtech especially if you plan on wheeling it. Fabtech is much stronger than the procrap

 

no they will not. I am going to a 35.

 

Disappointed in you for getting the RevTec kit. Could have saved up for your 6". Do it once, do it right. Save you tons of headache, time and money.

 

I couldnt agree more. You live and you learn I suppose. But I honestly thought all I was going to want was the 3 inch kit...but that didnt last very long.

 

Ordering the 6" tomorrow. Decided to go with the Procomp stage 1 and new tires. Will purchase the items needed for stage 2 in a couple of months. $1255 for the kit and $500 installed.

 

Do the stage 2. Don't make the mistake of the hockey pucks again. Do it once, do it right.
