New Tacoma Owner from San Antonio, TX!

Hey all!

My name is Faye, and I just bought my first Tacoma. I have ALWAYSSSSS wanted one, but never really had a good reason to before I moved to Texas. You see, I moved to San Antonio from Portland, OR, and for the last 10 years, I have been daily driving my 1980 VW Rabbit and things have been great!.... until I realized that life without A/C is pretty much going to be a miserable existence, as I sit in rush hour traffic on 410 trying to get home to my cool apartment and watch sweat drip down my body. ACK!

So, I finally had an opportunity to justify the truck. (That, and my husband needed a "real daily driver" also, aside from his motorcycle and work van that can only be used going to and from jobsites.)

We searched for MONTHS, and finally found what we thought was the perfect truck for us. She's a 2009 (love this generation's 4.0l engine!), a gorgeous dark pearl green called Timberland Mica, and an access cab, which seemed impossible to find here in TX. Everywhere we turned, there was a double cab short bed for sale, so when we finally found this one, we were so thrilled!

I know a little bit about cars, so I knew that this was a good purchase for us, and would give us few problems................. butttttttt............. there's a reason why I joined the forums today!!!!!! heh, heh.

Now, to go post in the "problem child" section!!

Awesome! Would love that. I still have a lot to learn. I love Toyotas, but I am used to older ones. I have an '89 Supra that is the love of my life, and I love to tinker on that. The Tacoma died last night, and I feel quite lost!! It would be great to talk with people who are really familiar with these trucks! <3
