Finally got an estimate done on the truck after 2 1/2 months. 2k worth of "damage". Temporarily I'll get the taillight replaced and keep rocking the beat up tailgate till I can get a custom tire carrier style done. That money also might go into the car at this point

I probably won't make that. Already have a truck trip planned at the end of may with Chandler and a motorcycle trip at the end of july.

It's a ten footer for looks  but it gets the job done currently

I like the old e30/36 m3 platforms. Almost all the old 90s cars i like the style of.

I never got the chance before to do track days with a car. But the local roadcourse just opened up again this summer so whenever I get that running I'll be for sure heading out there.

Oh lookie a truck update! Picked up a smittybilt awning today for the trip at the end of the month and itll work great for track days as well. Also ordered two reliance 7 gallon aquatainers so I should have plenty of water for whatever I need and a luminoodle as well to light up camp some and the tent if needed.

It sticks in front and rear of the rack maybe a foot. But I liked it when I had it open.

It's perfect next to a RTT to give you coverage on the side of the annex but not very good alone

Quick update: just finished a week long trip to Utah with @ChandlerDOOM and @inv3ctiv3 so with that being said the truck is going to have some changes coming to it. Did great wheeling, just need to finally figure out how I want this truck setup instead of using it for multiple purposes and lacking in areas (aka motorcycle hauling/wheeling).

Plan to pick up a moto trailer this summer and dedicate the truck build to better suit trips and just tow bikes instead of loading them.

With that said I'll post up more later with a trip report.

    Full Update:

I have been traveling for work since this past thanksgiving weekend and after a full six months of travel time (minus 1 weekend home every 2 weeks, still not very much time), I fully needed a vacation and time away from everything. @ChandlerDOOM met me at my house while I was finishing trying to get things together since I had just gotten home at 5 am that morning. Him and I had already decided to make a simple trade, bed bars for tailgate reinforcement. I had the reinforcement originally but since my tailgate got messed up in the accident back in December it was useless since i didnt actually use the funds to repair it.

Anyways we packed up and headed out to meet @inv3ctiv3 (Jim) in Utah on Friday the 26th. We left mid-aftenoon friday and stopped in Idaho Springs, Colorado on a FSR. Ended up freezing my ass off with the two inadequate blankets I had brought (was planning on desert camping). On the the 27th we decided to hit Top Of The World trail just outside Moab (had to get the iconic photo!)

From there we headed to meet Jim at the first campsite planned which was an enjoyable time and had a cold swimming hole!!! Unfortunately I don't have any photos of this area. On the 28th we decided to head towards Lake Powell. We stopped in a slot canyon on our way out which was very awesome to see how the elements can form rock over the years (my rc bomber died in this area probably due to some huge 20ft tumbles and dunking in water at the first campsite ).

On our way to Lake Powell:

At Lake Powell we camped under this huge plateau, we woke up to what seemed like 100* temperatures (the 29th) because the sand and rock were reflecting onto our campsite!! It was so miserable that Jim and I didnt even bother cooking breakfast so we made a break for the lake water.

    [IMG] [IMG]

After leaving the shores of Lake Powell, Jim found a trail that could lead us to a plateau overlooking it. Completely worth the time and effort of travel even though it wore us way down trying to get out there.

    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

After leaving Lake Powell we started making our way to get gas again and took a lot of backroads.
    [IMG] [IMG]

We covered approximately 130 miles offroad that day before finding a small campsite to break for the night before getting into town. 5-30 we woke up and continued to make the trip into town to get gas. This lead us through a small canyon/creek area that was dry but very cool to explore. We went to Twenty Mile Wash Dinosaur Track Site but aren't sure if we saw the tracks :notsure: before being lead into a state park that we were just traveling through, views were amazing though. I can't remember which park this was

We tried to make a route up through a mountain pass but weren't quite prepared/willing to dig through the snow that still ended up at the same road if we just took a different path.

Along the road around Jim had a sidewall puncture through finally (it already had a nice scrape from earlier in the trip) so we stopped to swap out wheel/tire. Unfortunately he was currently running the stock spare wheel with the same size tire which meant that spacers were needed to clear the total chaos UCAs, but didnt remember the spacers. No worries though as it still got him off the mountain and into town the next day where he could get the tire swapped to the SCS F5 wheel again along with a free used tire to make spare from the tire shop. If you stop in Blanding hit up Patio Drive In. Amazing Food!

5-31 Chandler needed some cell service to take care of business so Jim and I split off and headed to Lockhart Basin trail where we wheeled for a few hours and tried to find a camp site for the night.
    [IMG] [IMG]
    [IMG] [IMG]

6-1 Jim and I made our way towards Moab to meet up again with Chandler. We met up just outside of Kane's Creek trail and hit that up. Wow does it have the mix of terrains from easy wheeling to very capable body damage, along with desert to full plant wildlife. (Videos to come later).

    Part 2:

After running Kane's Creek, we decided to hit up some lunch in town at the Blu Pig (pretty good BBQ, considering its utah and not KC :p). Since we got some food, we then wanted to continue and relax with finding somewhere to swim. We found a local swim creek which was very relaxing. Chandler and I decided to hike a half mile to the major area of interest after swimming where I proceeded to make a dipshit of myself. Jumped off a cliff (maybe 15ft? into 6ft water since an attractive women did it  cant be shown up). Ended up spraining my ankle a little bit but oh well. See attractive female on the right :anonymous:

Ran Fin's n Thing's the next morning (6-2) as our final trail as a group. Fun simple trail with a lot of ups/downs. Crazy how much traction there is on the slickrock. After the trail Jim decided to part ways and make his way towards home while hitting a few things we had missed on our way out. Chandler and I hit up Hell's Revenge before making our way home ourselves.

I couldn't believe how huge this hot tub was!! Not sure a tacoma could make it through without practically being a buggy. But i did make it through the one next to this, but not as big!

We ran every obstacle except that major hot tub and Mickey's Hot Tub (seemed too short to actually fit). This was the escalator at the end of the trail which I attempted and succeeded even with a factory hitch  That rear wheel is 3-4ft off the ground!!

Finished the trail and decided to start making the long drive home to get some time to clean up the trucks and just relax before heading back into work. Had this view on the way back, but it seemed cold AF coming from the desert. Once we made it to my house, we had to pull my front bumper out since it had sunk in some on the escalator that we didn't notice earlier. Armor FTW still, thanks @Pelfreybilt
