So I noticed the truck started making some weird high speed metallic tapping, ticking noise while driving around today. It was speed dependent so somewhere between the transmission and wheels, great. Got work tomorrow, ugh. Finally got home and able to get underneath to have a looksie. Turned out I must have kicked something up and bent the metal shield between the driveshaft and fuel tank and it was rubbing on the ds. Crisis averted, bent it back away from the ds.

My vote is that we let all the ladies go ride bikes while the men stay back and drink cold beer

I can make some shredded brisket for brisket tacos. Will need to be heated up somehow though..

Doubt my GF is going to do that at all...

Trying to think if there is anything from Tyler that I can bring... Or I will see about making my homemade Hatch Chili Salsa the day before and bring it instead of getting some store bought. Not to be eaten with chips, but to put on top of the tacos.

I was referring to motorcycles. I'm down for target shooting with people though. I did that alot out at LBJ grasslands with my dad growing up. That was alot of fun to go out and just plink cans for the day.

As for motorcycles go, If I can ever talk the wife into it I think im going to buy an old Honda CB750 (pre '78) and do a rebuild cafe style with it. If nothing more than something to learn and not break the bank on. If anybody ever has a lead on an old honda like this I would be interested. I don't know anything other than the pics I see on IG that look badass. I'm not looking to break speed records, but just something to build and ride around on during nice weather days.

I built a bobber for 1100 dollars, including the bike. It was really fun to ride but for nothing much more than a sunday cruise or bar hopping.

    factory:

    finished:

I also rebuilt this bike that was wrecked. Got it for free, paid 300 for the title xfer and about 1k in parts, then sold it for 3k. You can do it really affordably, just plan ahead, research parts and fitment and have fun!

The Yamaha XS650 is another solid platform for that.

i rode an 1199 once, pulled the wheels up without a problem at 70mph, thing would smoke the tires on the highway. I gave it back to the dealer with my heart pumping out of my chest, what a thrill

hell yeah! i love me some cafes - there are awesome kits out there kind of like kit cars. If i remember the site, ill link it. The issue with building a cafe properly, it requires so much custom work. Needs a new rear sub frame and a reworked triple tree. Will also need the forward controls moved back, will typically find your base bikes with forward controls which makes the riding position incredibly awkward and uncomfortable with clip ons.
