I was looking into those same but I may say f*it n just go straight for 285/75/16s. Ill cut or alter wells if I get screwed with minor rubbing anywhere but honestly, with all my reading it seems with the rig u got, which in turn seems to be a very appealing set up and may be what I look into, it seems 285s is safe.

Yeah, I don't think I'd rub. Also, random question. Are you in the military?

It's so weird how often I'm told I look like somebody else. This is just my standard, in Hawaii with the wife, she's making me pose for another coastline pic look....maybe it's a very relatable look lol...n thank u for ur service dude

Honestly, 3" just seemed like a good number merely because I have always felt that 1.5" to 2" lifts didn't feel like it was going to be tall enough for the money per say. I am not against 2" lifts or 4"-6" lifts. I am not looking for something for extreme trails nor do I plan for my truck to only be a mall parking lot crawler so that's why I am collecting all the info on what the best is. I am going a little more for appearance and to to fit slightly larger tires, but I also don't want something that will give me a lot of headaches down the road or something similar

Be sure to factor in the cost to replace your needle bearing as well.

Once you start going 3"+ you'll need to look into adding aftermarket UCAs too in order to maintain caster

I could tell there was a slight power reduction when I had my truck lifted for a short amount of time and that was with 275/70r17s. Not sure how 33s would be but you might not mind since like you said it's not your daily driver.

Yeah that's one of the primary reasons why I would not go over 265/75/16 or 265/70/17. Power and transmission is already finicky in my truck with stock size. Been in enough lifted vehicles with larger tires to know what 275 or worse, 285s, would do to this thing. Just not something I'm willing to entertain for a DD.
