Especially with the 3.5 engine. Would not want to run a long distance with those 275s

I'll definitely keep that in mind guys thx. First venture with a Tacoma. I grew up in a had me down ford, this is my first taco, yota, or even brand new truck. Still learning. You've been quite the help today and this last gem just may prove to be the diamond in the rough....that and the needle bearing!

If my memory serves me correctly I'd compare the feel of the sluggishness with 275s to when I had a jeep with 4.0 running 36x13.50 IROKs

You've gotten me a bit concerned. When I purchased mine in March, the dealership had 285/60/18's already installed with a Tuff Country lift and level kit. I already have 4,900 miles. Would please explain what you mean? Thanks

I have the Icon Stage 4 with 285/75/16 load range E tires aired up to 35psi. It's not smooth on the road. Drive like a sports car suspension. I can feel every little bump. It handles very well. Off road. It's a Cadillac. The harder I push the better it rides. I have done crawling and made a few jumps in it. Rides like a dream. I am happy with my decision.

My buddy has the same truck with the Toytec boss kit. His rides much better on road, but I can't comment on Offroad yet.

When I get my wife a 4Runner, it won't get Icon unless I have them flip the valving. It's too rough for her and for a nice SUV. My truck is very nice but it's my little toy. And one day it will be a race truck. So I don't care how rough it is as long as it performs when I need it to.

    Bone stock as of now.
@AntMan408 Just saw this post in 2019, was looking to go that way too, how's the lift still holding up for you? Was truly hoping to get 3" if possible seeing as i have a BAMF steel grille and BAMF rockslides and a retrax pro cover... Also where did you go to get your lift done? Was gonna check out Swat Customs in Fremont...

Go to Milo he’ll do a better job than swat. Lifts doing well, added BAMF trilogy and sliders and dropped a little. Nothing significant.
