I purchased a 2017 Tacoma SR I4 4x2 and it is by far the best vehicle I have ever driven. Eventually I want to do after market stuff to it but, I don't want to seem like a poser because it is just a base model vehicle. If I were to do anything to it, what do you recommend I do to it?

Congrats, thats a sweet loookin ride. Plenty of people have base models and mod.. hell go look in the 5 lug threads, those guys are out of control.

Choose your mods based on need, nothing is poser unless u slap a trd pro badge and 4x4 mud flaps on.

If something were to happen to my current rig....an SR would be my choice

The hell with Toyota for not offering the 2wd in a 5 speed.

Congrats! Don't feel like a poser. Do whatever you want to do with your truck. Wheels and tires would make a big difference as a first mod.

Your not a poser for making the truck your own. Do what you want with it and don't look back.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Maybe think about high pressure KYB gas shocks to tighten up the ride and welcome to TW! Edit: and around 1k I'd switch out the rear diff oil to synthetic. Good luck, Man!

Forget about the cold air intake. Get some new wheels and tires as the first mod.

Nice truck! Keep it simple ... the base trucks have less to go wrong with them.

    Same as everybody else...
Welcome to the TW, that's a nice looking truck. It's your truck man do what you want. I have a base PreRunner and I replaced the wheels with a set of take offs, upgraded the head unit and added intermittent wipers. I didn't load it down with TRD stuff cept for small things here and there.

If you do any sort of towing at all I would recommend a receiver hitch. Putting a ball on the bumper is sketchy for me.
